Can I use a whetstone after reforging?

I want to remove DI but not until I have the weapon i want through reforging. Is this possible?

Yes reforge whetstone imbue enhance..just a bit of advice. Don't whetstone a wooden weapon and then try to enhance with frost wood..it doesn't seem to work right. Not sure if it's a bug or what
