um no.. the item will always say it was crafted by the person who crafted it..

the engraved text is on its own line and says engraved: enter text here.

Further Detail

Well, I have 6 8th Year Vet rewards that just became available, and because of some financial issuses in the human world I was looking to close the account, but sell the rewards in game on my vendor. So, I was trying to determine if it is more economically viable to claim lesser year rewards that are more popular... or to claim the highest year reward possible, i.e. the weapon engraving tool.

Any opinions on what might make sense economically?

no 8th year rewards are worth much.
