Irritable situations arise from time to time in this game. People get extremely upset when they feel betrayed. When it gets personal it gets painful and that seems to be what has happened here lately, judging by the content of the locked threads. A game such as ours, with the closeness this shard has, offers much opportunity for great friendships as well as animosities.
One individual can do great damage. My alliance was touched by this a few months ago over certain members leaving abruptly after becoming part of our family in a short time. We have since buried the hatchet (sometimes literally
) among us all I think.
This is a game (the boards are an extension thereof). Let’s root out the cause of the current negative undertone and work together to eradicate it.
Sometimes a situation like the current one can have an overall positive affect on the community. The purpose of these very boards is to build our community. While we can’t fully discuss some of the specifics of the latest drama here (due to ROC limitations), we can agree to go forward with the goal of growing from the latest “issue.”
Some solid board PVP is fun, but the constant complaints about the same things are also becoming a little tedious. I would personally like to see the tone a bit more uplifting on these threads.
