Since we're not getting any feedback anymore on the t-hunting changes, could you please forward the following to your dev team?

Please remove magic armor, weapons and jewelry from the t-chests and only put in the vines, scrolls of alacrity, scrolls of transendence, skeleton keys, gems, regs and the brittle artifacts please...

The magic items aren't worth taking from the chests and are nothing but an annoyance right now. If I want to find +1 skill rings and no-mods armor and weapons no one wants to touch besides a magical residue-hungry imbuer I'll go waste time hunting other mobs...

PS: if that is not an option, please relay to your dev team that some of us would like to know what they're going to do about the terrible, terrible magic items loot...

I don't mind the loot items at all... sure, they could be better, but as it is - they are a good source of items to unravel for imbuing gains.

I also use the Enhanced client grid-form backpacks so looting is easy - open the chest, scroll up or down and grab what you want, leave the rest.

I've got a magical residue-hungry imbuer in training, so I vote to keep the magic items in the chest I'm afraid...

What's more, in the Enhanced Clients, all the things you want are automatically at the top of the bag's list; SoAs, Reagents, Pardons etc. However I understand that for you who use the 2d client it must be ungodly annoying, so I'd suggest one little change... place the magic items in a separate sub container to keep things neat. There, now everyone's happy!

(Oh and btw, one small change I've noticed which wasn't announced, you can't guard whack the chest guarding spawn any more!)

Hmm, yes, I missed those...

And I'll never use the enhanced client. I'm not against it in any way, it's just not how I want to play, so yes, having to get rid of all the crap which are on top of the items I do want is indeed ungodly annoying...

All the more reason for Logrus to talk about his changes, me thinks. Unfortunately Logrus only seems to have time to joke about dynamite fishing instead of replying to his - at the moment - still loyal paying customers...

Remember when we used to shake stuff around in the chest to make more monsters spawn? I think that's what all the magic stuff is for, to generate the spawn.
Today I started with a bag of 5 level 4 fel maps and 1 level 4 tram. So I decided to do the odd one first. I just finished the tram digging - because that one, lonely level 4 chest - had a level 4 map it, so I dug it.
That level 4 chest had a level 4 map in it, so I dug it.
That level 4 chest didn't have a map in it, but 2 of the daemons that spawned as I emptied it did. So I dug both those.

I still move stuff to get extra monster to spawn if I have room for more loot without going home and drop off stuff first.

And I dont think they need to remove anything from the chests, I like it. You still can find 1/3 rings/ bracelets with either additional nice mods or you can imbue whatever you like.

if its that big of a deal, maybe the special stuff should be in a special bag, and the special bag auto opens for the person who popped the chest, but doesn't auto open for the people running up trying to loot the chest, lol.

I agree, the loot is really bad... 6 mods items are useless cause the max intensity reach the 20-30% if you're lucky....

If we're making requests, I'd like to add that seeing as they've added the recipes from the heartwood quests, would they also please consider adding in talismans. My crafters desperately need decent crafting talismans and with no one doing the heartwood quests (they're pretty much a waste of time), these are pretty much non-existant on Chesapeake.

Leave the junk - and no special bags for the "good stuff"!

Everyone should have to stand around in Fel and trowel through the junk to get to the goodies.

Besides, one man's junk is another man's imbue gain...

Highest maps I've done since the changes are level 4. I pulled one item that unraveled directly to a relic and several that after enhancing with valorite yielded relics. Leave the loot alone. It's fine as is.

If everything is such a hassle for you then don't do tmaps. But don't come on here and act like you speak for every thunter out there cause frankly you don't. Leave the items alone if anything make it so level 6 maps always have an alacrity scroll and make the forged pardons drop ALOT more in level 6 maps ONLY. I don't mind fighting the spawn or having items to break down for imbue ingreds. If it's such a hassle use the EC i still use CC and don't find it annoying at all i actually enjoy slaughtering AW's...

TBH if anything should be changed the tchests in EC shouldn't be allowed to be displayed in grid view they should ONLY be viewable in CC view so you actually have to go through the items not pick and choose via grid view that seems pretty cheeseball to me.

Use the EC to loot the chest (only thing I use it for)
All the loot goes on a nice list and you can just take out what you want and crash the chest.

LOL, give me a break, I'm not saying I'm talking for every t-hunter out there. If you can find and quote me on a single reference where I do claim to speak for every t-hunter out there, or where I claim to be some sort of t-hunting spokesperson, I will issue a public apology to you and the rest of Stratics...

The quality of magic item loot in t-chests was way better than what it was before the changes. If these changes were made to improve t-hunting, they shouldn't have made that particular part worse!

So yeah, I will let the devs know that it's my opinion the magic item loot currently sucks when comparing it to pre-patch loot and that they should look into it and communicate about what they're planning to do to fix it, despite the new hunting system and the new items being a superb addition to t-hunting...

So far I've offered Logrus to mail him UO Assist text-dumps of pure t-chest loot so he can have a looksee himself. I've also asked him nicely to atleast open a dialogue to us to discuss all of the t-hunter's feedback, not just mine. Heck, now I've even gone and resorted to sarcasm (see original post). The next step? Probably quit paying them and going back to another game, easy as that. T-hunting's the only thing I do ingame, so you bet I'm passionate about it...

Use to be I'd go to do the maps and end up smelting the lot of metal equipment and sell the leather stuff, jewelry that would sell( thou some shards the jeweler will buy the silver stuff - most wont still). Scrolls and regs I use for making vendor sales. Gems I save for crafting. The chest items never went unused or wanted...

The changes are nice... I'd like to see a mix of the Alacrity scrolls and SoT's no matter what facit your on, perhaps a Skill scroll too (lvl 1-2 gets 105s, lvl 3-4 gets 110's, lvl 5-6 gets 115/120's "Rare ")

Add in perhaps to the gem lot the bigger mining gems as well.

This.....while there are some "useless things" the whole point of treasure hunting was never to get LEET LOOT on each chest. The devs did a great job of upgrading what we do get. There is a use for everything in a chest for a real treasure hunter. Those that dont see that IMHO are just plain arti farmers out for more $$$ and dont know the true value of treasure hunting.

If anyone remembers the great Lord Slaymore of S*I on Great Lakes, he would be so happy to see this update. Most vets will remember he had a village south of Luna.

BTW if anyone that does remember him and they know how to contact him let him know the updates are here maybe he will come back

While Yes I agree the loot is crap and I honestly find better stuff off the monsters than in the chest... it is very sad.

I have picked up a few nice rings and bracelets with just FC 1 on them that will save me imbuing ingredients.

But other than that the loot stinks... I think they should be graded more like Runic hammers. Seems to me they are graded poorly.

But then didn't they mention ages ago that loot tables need reworked.

And I haven't really paid much attention but are we getting elven things in the loot now or is it still just human or is it based on where it's dug?

And I too would like to see Talismans in the chests.

My Imbuer says speak for yourself. Loot = Essences = Turn-in for 120 Imbuing Scroll = 500k gold on my vendor. TYVM

Not all the loot is worthless. My friend dug up a chest and got a 6 mod brace.

Granted its a ring, but you get that on a brace and your looking at 100+ mil. They are out there, just need to dig them up.

Yeah leave it as it is currently. I'm still so old school I sell all the armor and bows and stuff to the provisioners!
Besides, emptying out all that mess I don't want, spawns mobs that have gps and stuff I might want!

As it is, I can dig a level 5 chest and the spawn guarding the chest has WAY better loot than the chest. That is not right. I mean single mod rings with 5% lrc is not what i expect from a level 5 chest.

I have done about 20 total level 5 and level 6 chests and I have unraveled all magic loot and have YET to get a single relic fragment. I'd expect 1 or 2 from level 6 chests.

I've had 3 chests with NORMAL leather armor pieces (no mods) so far from 12 maps - and all I've done have been level 6 maps.

So, either the Mage Armor leather property bug is back, or it was never fixed for T-chests.

This makes the most sense to me. Higher quality, but less of it-- that's a fair balance, I think.
