Cal and the Devs all seem pretty quiet...

Okay I realize that they must all be pretty busy. But up until lately they were doing a pretty good job at chiming in and at least saying they are looking into it, or working on it, or giving some kind of comment. Maybe I have missed it, but they all seem pretty darn quiet.

We all know there are gonna be problems when they implement new things, but a little feed back on the boards would always be a little reassuring.

It's the weekend, I'm sure they're aware of what's going on to some extent, but I would imagine nothing new until maybe Monday or Tuesday. There are indeed bugs that need to be fixed, just saying.

They likely just worked the past couple weekends and a lot of late nights. Then there is the frantic 2 publishes after the High Seas release. I suspect they are mostly taking short vacations.

I am sure they are just enjoying the weekend and will be back in the office tomorrow morning. It was a beautiful weekend here in the DC area... Probably one of the last before the colorful leaves are gone and winter looms near.

They can't read anymore since they have a steak on each eye and have spouses out shopping for pillows to put on their work chairs from all the beating on the release. That chair is gonna hurt on Monday.

Probably coming up w/ collaborated 'corporate' bs lines to this high seas fiasco/disaster. Now they have to face Us, and all the programming. Looking at all the recent posts, it's mostly lots of problems and unhappy users. Hope we remember all this on the Next booster

Well we are enjoying the booster, and expected some of the bugs and all that come with it. So that is not a problem. The hard part is waiting for or looking for answers to some of the problems. Like pirate ships no longer taking damage, or what you can fish up at just gm skill. Do you waste lava traps and poles if you have to be 120 to catch something with them? Uoguide, says the rare fish are to be caught when you reach 120, yet I have caught a rare fish at only 100. But also don't want to use my baits, unless they will work at only 100 skill. So I guess what I myself would like would be a better description on how certain things work. Then I myself would have more patience, while they work out the rest of the bugs. LOL And ya, I bet they will be busy when they get back to work!

Unfortunately, I think there's also a good possibility that layoffs are looming, if EA follows the pattern set over the last two or three years. If so, then Cal and the rest of the team may be very reluctant right now to make any promises regarding what they can accomplish in the next couple of publishes and patches.

Some of them I'm sure are fretting for their jobs.

Others I hope are thinking up things for Xmas.

Others are planning I hope to put finishing polish on a release for Halloween.

And I'm sure one or two are biting their nails wondering just what we are going to pancake about next, at the same time worrying about what we will think of the 13th anniversary stuff that they claim is coming soon.

And Cal ought to be stressing over just what he's going to say when they are late for things yet again... as we all know the anniversary has come and gone... and Halloween is looming. But I doubt he is.

Though I'm sure he's thinking if he reads this.... whooo dodged a bullit because I haven't yet mentioned the fact that I'm still waiting to have them fix the housing menu and allow me more co-owners! But not to worry Cal I haven't forgotten my mission. *grins*

And Mesanna is thinking of ways to kill us with Halloween just around the corner. And she's dreaming up more awesome events. As I hope all the EM's are as well.

Not to worry, I'm sure they are dreaming about things right now.

Would like to see a New Shards booster.

1. All Trammel ruleset shard
2. All Fel ruleset shard (with insurance)

Both would be quick to setup and they would sell tons of transfer tokens.

He won't say anything but "sorry guyz" and you all will gobble it up and be in line for the next booster or expansion.

Not to worry, I'm sure they are dreaming about things right now.

I imagine dreaming about the pile of money they will make off the next beta release. I imagine the dream goes something like this, "We will release new buggy content while just beginning to address bugs from the previous expansion and it will go on and on forever mwahahahahahahaha!111!! a flash of lightning in the background as Cal cackles insanely.

My guess is they've had a hectic few weeks, there's a lot of work still to do, so they took a break to recharge.

Not true, several of us can't even buy the product because their sales website has been screwed up. And since money pressures at EA are massive just now, why that isn't a high priority with EA is way beyond me.... but it's still not fixed.
