[Buying] Castle.

Heya all,

I´m looking to buy a castle.
Possibly even a castle spot ( There are ALOT of castle spots held by keeps.. )
Also, would be interrested in Keep on Marble Island, Old guild island on Europa...

So yeah, i don't know what i can expect to pay for a Castle here, but do spare me the weird comments.. Cause i do know that castles are:

-Ugly
-Too big
-Impossible to Decorate
-Insanely dangerous out of security view.

Etc..

But yupp, i want one, and i want it NAOW! NAOW I TELL YOU!

For those who know, what should i pay for a castle? Maybe not in middle of swamp, but avarage location? Anyone seen any castles sell recently, and at what price?

15-25 mill depending on location is what it will cost you...

Any keep thats holding a castle spot is A. has a terrian thats out of place so a castle wont fit. or B. the player just has an active account rotting away.

Alot of people have absolutely no idea about house placing.. Trust me, i made so much money on that sort of stuff

But i really appreciate the information, even if the price seem a bit high!

sorry to have to tell you this but soulweaver is pretty spot on on the price range.

i would narrow it down to 20-25 mil though. i haven't seen any castle sell for less than 20 mil. some have even gone for 30 if they're in a really nice location.

Oh, i don't doubt the price, i trust SoulWeaver with the prices he say..

What i ment is that it is much relative to the Demand ...

30 mil sound about what a castle would go for on 'Normal' Shards , with the 10:1 Ratio that it seem to be , both from brokers, and the general value of items.

So, 300 mil for a fel castle seems about what it would go for.. but the demand is FAR less on this server.. So i was thinking it would go for 10-15 here.. Buuut that is irrelevant, still looking for a castle !

Prices are a little wierd here, items that can be looted are very cheap here and so are houses other than castles. As castles only can be placed in Fel and most of the old ones are owned of inactive players, the demand for the few for sale is high.

When we was a little more players here, even a swamp castle would sell for 20-25 mills.

Well , we will see! I don't have high hopes on finding one for sale for a resonable price.. infact, whoever sell one will probably ask way too much for it ! But yeah, we shall see!

Well, like many have said here....its all about location...I have always entertained selling my castle and have had some pretty good offers...we just havent been able to come to a final resolution...but bascially this the the grand daddy of them all baby....lol

Yeah i sold my yew castle thats right by the gate for 100 Mill sooo prices are spot here because everyone wouldn't mind owning a castle here its one home we all like to have plenty of storage!


But as far as placement believe me im pretty good at placing as well as few others here.

And i didnt say noone know how to place, but scouting around, i see alot of keeps on Castle spots. even a large tower on one .. But the odds on getting those people are yeah... As you say, they dont play anymore ..

Elmer and I snatched mine right out from tnt's noses. They tried to block our placement and placed behind the castle footprint asty and I had been counting for 2hours. I got lucky and won the dice roll after we got it all placed.

That being said I would consider selling my ice island castle for 20 mil.

Not buying insanely overpriced castle for the sake of it, even if its lovely.

No, when someone say " if the price is right " and simular , they mean " if i get an offer i cannot refuse = overpriced. Denying it ?

Anywho, you would be silly to sell that castle, it's insane.

Value is determined by the buyer and the seller...so if its not afforable to some...its then by deffinition insanley overpriced...to the buyer who's economic status isnt challenged...then its a good value...your bank balance always determines the outlook and value to the buyer...if your fricking broke...a happy meal is way to much...but if your Warren Buffet...you'll just by the Mcdonalds...

No, but bottom line is, your castle is too good location, and i cannot afford it , even if you acually wanted to sell it.. which you don't .. therefor pushing the price even further

And generally, you can say that it is insanely overpriced compared to general market value . BUT, as they say, everyone and everything got thier price.
