How do i follow a target that is always on the move without actually having to keep walking to it?

That's in Classic Client, so it's been a while since I tried it. There's no follow mode in Enhanced Client.

I'm sure I've seen an option somewhere to 'replace pathfinding with follow cursor', if it works how I think it would, you could use that in conjunction with 'target next' & 'last target' and set someone to follow that way.

I'm pretty sure all that option does is remove pathfinding and make it normally how your cursor runs.
Yes, alt+left click in the classic client works great.
