Bug? Did Anybody Know that LRC Reduces Tithing Points Used?

So I'm training my Sampire, and I just GMed Necromancy and Spirit Speak. I was wearing an imbued 100% LRC suit with Mana Increase and Mana Regeneration, so I thought the bonus mana and MR would come in handy for finishing Bushido and Chivalry.

I opened my chivalry book to check how many tithing points I had, and it was unchanged from 2 days ago. Casted a few chiv. spells and the number didn't go down. Then I closed the book and opened it - the tithing points didn't change. I figued it was the LRC, so I stripped several pieces of LRC armor off and then casted some more chivalry spells & my tithing went down.

I didn't notice anything mentioned in the skill section for this, so I thought I'd ask about it. Is this a bug? If so, I'll report it.

It's been like that since Chivalry came out and LRC suits were around. Not a bug, a bonus.

Yeah, its been like that for a while. My Paladin tithed about 100k back when the skill was first added to the game. He still has around 30k of those points left because all of his training was done while wearing a 100% LRC suit, and his main suit of armor has a pretty decent amount of LRC on it.

At 50% LRC you pay 1/2 of tithing cost.
At 90% LRC you pay 1/10 of tithing cost.
At 100% LRC you pay nothing.

That is the way it is intended to work.

Put in developer terms: "It is working as intended."

It should work for every spellcasting skill that uses resources. mysticism, necro, magery etc etc.....

Anyone Know if above 100 percent lrc still works for reducing regs needed for inscription training?

LRC has no effect on inscription.
LMC will help you save mana, but LRC gives you nothing.

I've known about the no cost for years.

And yes it's true even if you wear a 100% LRC suit to inscribe or make potions you WILL use Regs...

However a good LMC suit will save your mana while you inscribe.

edit: got on test. Set char's int to 40, wrote a gate scroll - mana used = 40 ie all of it.
imbued a suit with lmc. Shown LMC on character 40%
wrote a gate scroll - mana used = 40.
waited for return of mana and wrote another. mana used = 40

For what? You need a weapon in your hand I believe for maybe one of the spells to be cast. Don't see why you would need a weapon/item in your hand for LRC to work. In fact for chivalry you don't need spell-channeling to cast with a weapon.

Nope. Simply wearing the suit gives you all the benefits of 100 lrc.

I thought I was right, it's written that way in the scribe essay. But I'm always willing to check in case I'm wrong. LMC works for any form of casting, but not for inscription. I have built a mana regen suit for my scribe, including in it a dark sapphire bracelet. Sadly she's gargoyle, so she can't hold a boomstick.

You might be thinking of when you train magery...a -27 SC weapon makes it a lot easier to gain when you get to higher skill levels.

LMC has never effected the mana cost of scribing scrolls. The only properties that can help you when you scribe scrolls is Mana Increase, Intelligence Increase, and Mana Regeneration.

LRC is convenient if you are recalling around to buy scrolls and reagents for your scribe (other than that it does nothing for Inscription either).

I checked it last night, it is a MR suit he's using. I don't know why I was thinking it was LMC.

My brain is turning to mush. I bet it has something to do with all the video games and TV I was raised to enjoy so much.

For me LRC is about convenience, not about saving money, so I spend my properties points elsewhere on my chivalry characters.

I must say training inscription in lich form with a shadow wisp is great, especially if there's a group of you.
