browser game: lord of ultima

some time ago there was a short discussion about this new browser game that is up in open beta now.
anyone gave it a try yet to give feedback first hand?
this review doesn't sound too thrilled and yes, no connection to the ultima series except the IP used owned by EA:

So you're saying that if I set a copy of Madden10 or 2010 FIFA World Cup on one table and then set a dog **** sandwich on another table, ask you to play the game or eat the sandwich, you're going to do what?

I am playing it. Well sort of. It is pretty lame and does not keep my attention at all. Build up a city and try to raid other villages. It is pretty much the same game as Tribal Wars or Evony.

If it was not free, I would not even bother with it.
