Can Broadsword please set up a system to host UOCartographer servers for guilds? Since no real guild plays without it. It's not right that everytime somoene's mum pulls out a server plug to plug in the hoover, nobody in the guild can play together.

We pay a subscription but we must host our own servers?

Broadsword need to improve the Classic client Map by showing party players names on it as a start (just like EC).

Next thing would be improving sync and adding some cool options like filters, pins, etc...

It is not Brodsword’s job to develop or host 3rd party programs like uoassist or uocarto, their job is to improve the game itself and implementing some of the helpful features these softwares represent “in-game”. And, thats when players should stop relying on them.

This. Absolutely.

The recent issues with UOAssist highlight just how reliant players are on non-guaranteed third party applications. The best features from these applications should have been included within the client itself many moons ago.

I would agree here apart from the tracking of players in the EC map could definitely use an upgrade as it’s very slow, especially with all the players in the party running around.

Yeah or we could all just play in DOS mode and just see pure code. I don't want to play EC, it's not the same game.

Also, you would have a maximum of 10 players in a party. This would be no good for guilds such as W, who don't venture out with less than double digits. Plus you'd have to find the party leader every time you changed char (if they're still online)

To OP, get one of those Free VPS'es to host your'e map needs.
I don't think its EA's job to host a map service for guilds.
Regarding CC vs EC, having to maintain 2 clients is imho a waste of resources. But since we have 2 clients, there should't be any benefits in using either of them. (They should contain same features, speed etc etc)

Unmaintained since 2009 and closed source. Good luck with that.

You can use any.
The one iv'e used to run uomapper on a few years back, has sadly closed down. They did provide good service, and their uptime were excellent.
