man everyone on siege is horrible, nothing but a bunch of all kill hiding mofos that think they can play the game because that wicked awesomly balanced dragon can hit for 70's without them even pushing a button (unless u count the A-L-L K-I-L-L as buttons) yea ppl, get better please and people who dont use tamer templates STOP RUNNING! and fight! i understand running when your low life, but hell most people wont even stay around to fight me even when they are at full life. wtf is with that?

pwned siege, now someone make a witty comeback about how tamers arnt gimp and siege players are elite. and ill make another comeback and itll go around in circles for a few hours untill it gets locked.

p.s this is going to be an awesome post/topic thingy. haha

Oh please! You know darn well not one of those tamers takes the time to type out A-L-L K-I-L-L. It's a one button macro that says it for them.

is all i see nowadays, logged on last night for the 1st time in about 2 days and guess whats hanging out in luna? 4 tamers! without another person in sight! funny thing is everyones a blue tamer too, total gimp and cant even go red. how sad....

p.s.s this whole shard needs some work, am i the only person without hiding/stealth or taming? that consistantly pvps even outnumbered?

i wonder if siege players realise soon there will only be tamers, your screen will be filled with dead corpses of tamers who all killed one another. all blue tamers probably too. siege, is this really what you want? nothing but tamers? because you sure are making it happen. atleast i can say i am not contributing to the tamer gimps. maybe ill setup my house with some gm armor for anyone who DOESNT run a tamer template. since i seem to have so much extra gm armor floating around...

Well, I play a mage and a shown macer. I also run solo a majority of the time. But I will say that I play both without much success and spend a lot of time in death robes. Every now and then I can find someone who will 1 v 1 with me, but not often.

Siege is not what it used to be, but then few things are as time goes on. I play for the occasion fun moment when I find a fair fight - win or lose.

The real problem lies in that a tamer is good for PvM & PvP. Until the powers that be make pets less of a threat in PvP you'll see PvP tamers. For a single char slot shard it's a pretty decent choice, you can do both relatively easily.

Especially with a nekkid 'all kill' tamer, basically zero risk, all reward.

It certainly would be nice though to perhaps require ninja forms to require a control slot, this would at least alleviate mount speed & Greater Dragons.

Also, having a discorder would help as well. . . Didn't REV used to run with a Disco'r to combat pets? It's been a while. . .

Sure, Disco is nice when it goes off after the 30th try... Good luck staying alive long enough attempt that many times... And... a disco'd greater dragon is still pretty deadly- not to mention you pretty much must have your own greater dragon just to take advantage of the fact that its disco'd.

REV may have run disco successfully, but keep in mind Greater Dragons were not around then... they create a whole new situation...

I used to run disco- but quickly found it is almost pointless against greater dragons unless you have another Gdragon on your side...

Perhaps the solution is that if the tamer goes invis/hiding, the pet automatically ceases to attack. That would certainly help. At least the tamer would have to be visible in order for their pet to attack.

I was also unaware that it was that difficult to Disco a GD. Maybe a solution as well is to lower barding rates on all pets?

Add a cap to greater dragons fire breath against players like they did with Armor Ignore... fire breath does 35 max...

Make it so that corruption only works with pvm and not against players.

Put passive detect on siege...

Make evil omen have no effect with Para...

Make trapped boxes only work once then they need to be re trapped.

All of the things of above would make siege 10x better

Try pvping and and revealing someone... they just hide instantly continue to stealth off and you have to wait like 8 seconds until you can attempt to detect again... then they hide again continue stealthing...

I like all those except the trap box thingee. They have really cramped fighter templates with the tactics change and its difficult to have resist and still be competitive. Maybe make the trap boxes do more damage - or change it so that a person cant be trapped with energy fields. I don't mind the paralyze, but when its followed by a X of e-fields its a bit too much.

P.S. What do you mean about corruption? What is it and what does it do?

well if you are all 70's in resist and have no magic resist on... A rune bettle will corrupt your armor making you all 0 in reist for a few seconds... And the damage after that is worse than a superdragon... Only reason people are no longer running the rune bettle is because the superdragon can kill it in a few hits...

I can think of many more...

Example 1 is 725, but even if you drop 5 points off it, you have an issue with mana. Not saying its not a good template, just that there are issues. Example 2 is nice, but I really meant warriors, not archers.

I'm not saying is not possible to run a warrior with resist. I'm just saying to be truly effective as a warrior, you will probably not have room for it - and thats okay. But with the ability to para then e-field, you either need some way to break the para or avoid the e-field trap. I would say the same thing about the old para, explo, para, explo thing. That's as much a no-skill kill as taming is...
