Interesting for me is how many threads were updated every day!

We need to find the old uo.com boards. Man there was a pic I had up with some ideas for new items.. a few have made it in-game (ankh pendant for one!)

It was before the boards.stratics.com address as the boards were part of the main site back when it was still UOSS.

I tried one of the OLD addresses (uoss.stomped.com) but that one didn't work... not recalling the later-pre-change name address though.

Used to be a threaded-only, no post-bump board that reset every night at midnight (Central), and had the UOSS menu bar on the left hand side instead of on a seperate page so that the more basic questions would INEVITABLY lead to the reply of:

Also, there was no registration or even mods at the time, and usually in the late night hours (for US), the Euro players would hop on and the first several threads would be in Danish or Swedish, or whatever language from that general area.

Lot different board back then.

I use Archive.org a lot for cross-referencing things on UOGuide. It's a fairly invaluable source some times.

Problem with all old UO stuff is that the nostalgy kicks in... I mean remembering how active and livly everything was, players EVERYWHERE, tons of action, tons of ppl to play with etc.

Then you log in and see what's left of it. 5x more land but 5x less players. Atleast on the shards I play on... Makes ya kinda sad.
