Boots, Sandals and Shoes

So I am finally getting around to GMing fishing after 8+ wonderful years of this game. I'm at 92 now and having a pretty good time of it. Even though I've done my research pretty well on the skill, I always seem to miss something obvious. I've done nearly everything the skill has to offer save an ancient sos. But all this darn footwear.... what a waste!

So what are you fisherpeople doing with all the footwear you are fishing up? I'm just dropping them on sea serpent corpses. Is there any use for them other than a few gps to from a cobbler?

A lot of us who have tailors will take all our regular leather normal footwear Bulk Order Deeds and fill them with the fished up footwear. After all, each filled BOD, we can turn in for a new (hopefully better) one, and doing them that way saves time and money.

Thats not a bad idea. I go through phases with this stuff though. Right now tailoring BoDs are at the bottom of the list. I wish you could recycle them for a few scraps of leather or turn them in for points. Maybe even add in a chance of some minor mod added to some of the footwear.

I'm having fun with the skill though. I've collected abot 500 sea serpant scales and have enough raw fish steaks for about 10k points. I don't see myself turning them in though.

I let a pair of boots from a shipwreck dry out. I had my tailor neighbor patch them up and I wear them proudly on my deck.

I just sell them back to a cobbler when I go to town. Usually I have to make a bank deposit and sell my gems as well.
