I'm ok with books at the bank, but the daily litter of books at the tot spawn locations and other spawn locations is just plain overkill.

Today I went and talked with a few members of the guild responsible for dropping the books. Giving them the suggestion to limit their liturature to the banks. Even though I was polite in the extreme, I was laughed at and kicked out of the castle. (Made me giggle. Guess these guys are human after all.)

Being human as well, I call for a ban on all members of this guild. No heals, no res's, do not sell to them, do not buy from them, ban them from your houses, what ever it takes until our lands are once again litter free.

This topic has come up time and time again on these boards. I'm surprised no one from " that certain guild " has come in on the thread in blustering defence, especially since as one of the " news " items for this week is little more than a thinly disguised ad for them :/

Are they the books for various guilds recuiting members? I see several guilds do this.

Are they the books for cheap gold web sites ? I see several different ones.

Are they the books that say they are tired of others dropping books ?

I dont see how you could ban any of these groups since they have their own guild and wouldnt require you to assist them , restricting your vendors would be like cutting off your nose to spite your face, and the ones that drop the gold selling stuff how would you know what character to blame ?

Honestly if you are so bored with UO that you have to resort to whining about something that sensible people ignore then maybe you need to take a break from UO turn off your PC and go outside in the real world and find something more deserving of your free time.

I'm so tired of seeing regs spawn on the ground! Its so annoying for non-mage toons to have to deals with these, especially when we ctrl-shift! Every time I crtl-shift I see "Garlic", "Ginseng", "Mandrake Root", "Spiders Web", ect..., all over the screen...

It's making me nuts!

I listed the topics of the last couple of books I read, one was a gold selling web site addy, another was someone biatching about some other guild that drops books which is a ******** reason to drop a book, and the last about an RP guild recruiting, it had a nice little RP story in it too.

A single book should be worth 50k gold coins to purchase. They are supposed to be rare in this age and if you account for the inflation since the beginning of the game, then 50k is nothing. After the price adjustment, people can feel free to litter the entire world with them if they wish. At least, they will have to make a serious investment towards it.

Unfortunately, this will not happen!
