The Queen's Soulforge is the only one that requires loyalty, as far as I know.

You have to reach 10,000 loyalty to the queen to use it for crafting with imbuing.

You can use it for Unraveling items, and get the bonus to your unravel check, even when under 10,000 loyalty. It's only using the forge to MAKE things that requires the 10,000 loyalty.

Is there any realistic way for a crafter to get to 10,000 without killing stuff?

Not really, but it's easy enough to do with a little magery.

You can add a little magery (enough to cast blade spirits, or use 5th level scrolls - a human using scrolls can read BS scrolls 27% of the time at 0 real magery, thanks to JOAT).

Take a butcher's war cleaver (or better yet, a Harvester's blade from last year's turkey event), a bag of sending, and some spare Translocation Powder, and cast the summons on stone or toxic sliths (EVs work better, but require higher magery, of course). Kill sliths, skin them for their leather (spined from stone sliths, horned from toxics), and send the leather to the bank when you get nearly full.

It's not only easy, but the leather that results can make the effort worthwhile.

Toxic sliths also have a lot of junk loot, so you can take a few bags, and fill them up with stuff to be hauled back for unraveling after you get tired of slith-killing.

Thanks for the info Basara. You know to get access to a crafting resource they could have given us a reasonable way for crafters to obtain the loyalty points. :(
I don't want my crafter using magery, I'll probably stone over macing or something and try it that way.
I recently bought my first Harverster's Blade. Paid a million for the plucked turkey, but these things aren't on vendors much now so I figured it would be worth it.

By the way, the nice thing about the harvester blade and sliths.

Elf or Gargoyle, normal tool (including Butcher's war cleaver): 10 leather
Human, normal tool: 11 leather (10 + 10% of 10)

Elf or Gargoyle, Harvester's Blade: 11 leather (10 + 10% of 10)
Human, Harvester's Blade: 13 leather (10, plus 10% of 10%, plus 10% of 11 (rounded up)). ((10 + 1) + 1.1) = 12.1, rounding up to 13.

That weird feature where the harvester's blade rounds up, even with a fraction of 1/10, makes it to where 10-leather creatures give 30% more to a human using one, over a non-human using any other tool.

That a human gains skill on slightly lower items, as they don't have the Gargoyle bonus, is just an added benefit.
