Bod bribe help??

seems u cant choose which better bod u need or want

aka if u got say a gold plate normal 10 and u want a gold plate exc 20...well the bribe npc is gonna give u a agapite for the gold....???? crazy why cant u choose to keep it gold but got exc 20 instead?

just a example above btw...

So what bods have u folks been bribing mainly???? is there a hard fast set??

It seems it goes ore type then amount then last is EQ..

It be nice if you could pick what you wanted to bribe..
Maybe a DEV can chime in to see if it be possible to change the way bribing works..

Why not just start with a 20 exe plate iron,dull,shadow, or bronze then just upgrade the colour to your required colour...simple enough

I THINK the logic was that by making it material-first, that a person would have to upgrade a small iron BOD 5 (20-count) or 6 (10 & 15-count) times to get POF, therefore making it extremely unlikely that people would upgrade a BOD simply to make powder.

However, just the sheer COST of escalating upgrades (With REALLY show decay), with multiple crafters per shard, make "upgrade for POF" extremely unlikely, even if Normal-to-Exceptional was first in priority, or totally random.

Making it random, or in the order EX/Count/Material, would make BOD Bribing MUCH more useful for smiths.

Much better would being able to choose to NOT have 1 or 2 of the 3 upgrades occur from the smith bribes.

The current system seems to be geared ONLY to bribing stuff up to Valorite 20 EX and Barbed 20 EX BODs - thereby making all other metals and leathers nearly worthless except for crafting/enhancing specific items, and getting POF.

Now, for barbed kits, I can see why the system is the way it is - after all, you can get Barbed kits from BODs as low as 20 EX Spined 6-count LBODs, so it's already been TOO EASY to get Tailor runics for over a DECADE!

But, the bribe system as it is that works so well for Tailor BODs, truly sucks for Smiths - especially those of us trying to fill existing partial LBODs.

Iv done maybe close to 1000 bribes for smithing and found that it is random, it will do the metal first most of the time but some times it'll do the count or exceptional first.

Iv just used a good starter bod as metal seems to be the first roll but not always. e.g any exceptional iron bod will upgrade to a pof.

Iv only really used it to get 10/15/20 exc val bods as the prices are going up there the most costly already! i have about 20 val and 12 vertite hammers now

Yes, bribing sometimes upgrades quantity (10 to 15 and 20) and quality (normal to EQ) before the bod color reaches valorite.

It is random.

I've noticed though that if it starts with ingot color it stays with that until it reaches valorite.

If it starts with quantity it will go to 20 before switching to quality or color.

so is the whole idea geared purely for valoriite hammers and barbed kits....becuase it would seem to get bods bribed for lesser hammers or kits is very random or nigh impossible??
