I have cheated on my true love...I have played WoW...

I hated it, and now have returned to my senses..and whacked my kid for sending me the free trial.

I just hope that if KR is to be our future, someone can teach this old lady how to play it..cause I try and get frustrated and go running back to the 2D client.

WoW would be ok if:

you could get a mount before level 40.
you didnt have to travel forever on foot to do quests.
it wasnt a level up game.
you didnt have to play with cartoon chars (ugly ones).
you could own a house.
you could play with people more than 5 levels below/above you and still get experience.

There is more but, blah.

Well, my son talked me into the trial verson. They are using it as lure to get more folks to buy the game and then pay to play.

In my personal opinion, it is a bit boring, the loot you get from the few monsters low level characters can successfully kill, is lousy.


So, I removed the trial version from the computer, and then went and took a long hot bath to remove the stench of WoW, just like one would do if they met a skunk.

I dl'ed and tried LOTRO last nite, and I was very very impressed. I liked it much better than WOW, and I had good fun in WOW, it just gets old really fast. Of course I haven't decided if I wanna pay ot not, so I' just trying out the 8 day free trial.
