Blocking other players' gameplay is not allowed, right ?

At least on a shard I play, some players are blocking the visual of the Event book using pets. They park them in a spot where the players approaching cannot see the book and so they cannot target it. Of course, they get killed before being able to click on the book so they have to get ressed and try again but since the pet is still there, they get killed without being able to click the book first.

This would be like blocking other players game play and make it so that they cannot complete the Event since they are incapacitated to click the book since they cannot see it.

Sounds to me like making other players game play not possible. GMs should do something right ?

I paged and got a message asking me whether this was for harassment or unattended macroing.

Not sure what category this would fit in. Is this harassment ?

Couple ways to work around it. There is a macro that "shows all" which will include items. Can use that. There is also a spell called invis, which you can cast on the pet.

They won't because you can use CTRL + Shift and see the book, double click on the book and read it.

The tamers are there probably trying to help if this just happened for today's location. The reds will eat your breakfast if you aren't careful, it is getting ugly on LA.

Seeing as to how many PvPers are relying on Tamer/?? templates for those dread mares it's just as likely it's the PvPers parking the pets to give their buddies more time to kill people.

What you describe was a foreseeable problem as soon as someone had the bright idea of making Trammel players go to Fel.

Even in trammel you could get someone blocking it with a dragon though..or anything else.

No reagents, no LRC, no scrolls. Nothing.

I tried CTRL-SHFT but for some reasons anything else shows up on 2D but not the book.

And I know the location well since I already did a few characters when the pet was not there...

Perhaps it has got something to do witht he book appearing and disappearing.
And yes, I was holding the Lamp while looking for the book......

Unless you're broke, I think you can bare to risk a couple thousand gold. Of course you should try to get a group together instead of going by yourself to help. But yes, it likely has something to do with the book disappearing and reappearing.

And yes, I do agree that this was not a good idea. Stuff like this helps nothing, IMHO, to promote PvP. It only annoys a bunch of players.

It neither provides fun, challenging fights for PvPers.

Nothing I say again NOTHING is forcing you to come to fel, so many complaints about waah u made 1 clue in fel omg which noob came up with that idea? you don't like it? Don't come and focus on the 8/9ths of the quest so far which allow you to do what you want in perfect safety instead. there are two facets to each shard, don't act like some spoilt kid when ior one brief moment you may have the OPTION of stepping into one or the other

Casting Invis is NOT the answer...

...especially when some or more of your toons are NOT mages.
Cmon.
Its pure and simple griefing, and it should be controlled if theyve decided to have a location outside safe zones in fel.
That being said, it IS fel, and more often that not, all's fair there unless a gm can be convinced (and online) to come out of the break room where their feet are propped up watching episodes of LOST to attend to DUTIES.

I will just wait a few days till the newness wears off and then see how that goes.

Forgive me... I'm an avid PvP fan... I don't do it myself but I LOVE to watch others... so I am in no WAY against PvP. Or Felucca... I think it takes a lot to PvP effectively... I just SUCK at it!

That said... it is entirely juvenile for a group of reds to "gank" the non-PvP community... there is no challenge... there is no "game" to that. It is just one or two hit wonders that give PvPers and Fel a bad name. The PvPers should be fighting each other... as Fel was intended... keep each other from collecting the book... and leave the non-PvPers out of it. You know who PvPs and who doesn't... Rezz killing to prove you can kill another player is moot... come on.. you're red.. we get it.

I, for one, didn't see anything wrong with having this last clue in Fel... I guess I just assumed that the red community would not use the "Boys will be Boys" excuse and pull all the wings off the butterflies. Just because you can... doesn't mean you should... and saying It IS Fel is no excuse.

On the other hand... I think the Mythic events should be duplicated in Fel to allow the Red community to participate their way... I thought they had done that with this one... did I misunderstand?
