Blanket Accusation

Calibretto once said that good freinds are hard to come by, but good enemies are even harder to find. There is a fine line between a blanket accusation and pointing out that an individual, who did a dumb thing, wears a particular guild tag. I beleive that anyone wearing a guild tag represents that guild with his or her actions. That doesn't mean that the mistake that person made was condoned by, acknowledged or agreed with by the rest of the guild. Under these circumstances a blanket accusation is unfair, as was mine.

where does that person stand with the certain guild? still a member? still trusted by a guild that did not have knowledge of the persons actions?

i used to carry some respect for your opinion on things.
That is going away quickly as i watch you doing your laundry on this forum rather than acting like an adult and contacting the leaders of any group you have issue with directly. We all view it as this way too. I think he just found out what happened and got angry. It would have pissed me off too. Takes a big man to come here and apologize after all that. I for one find more respect for him after all this.

I agree. I consider death a pretty decent guy.
I just think everyone needs some time to sort this out internally, before we broadcast it all over the boards stirring the drama pot.

Death has always been good to me, and even having JSV as enemies I like all of them. SP is a small community, the only ones I have distaste for are those that use power to the advantage that should be used to benefit all.

Question? Why don't both said guilds freeze out said member in question? I know HEMP did, but I wanted to put both as to be fair to both guilds. It would seem to me if I had a member causing unwanting drama I'd show that peson the door. To me keeping=condoning.

We all tend to react to things quickly when we feel that we have been wronged; but I have always had great respect for the person who will come back and publicly say that he may have rushed to judgement. I have alot of respect for Death because of the way he chose to handle this. jmho

Good point D. I posted in your last thread about my thoughts. In trying to b vague i left something out. I was only talking about one person, not an entire guild.

We all can be guilty of blanket accusations from time to time. For example, I accuse this blanket of being ugly.
