Blacksmithing Exeptional

I've recently begun digging through the tonage of bods I've accumulated. My smith is Legendary but still is not 100% on plate mail armor. I've blown about 10K ingots alone starting on platemail arms. Started at 66.4% for exceptional and it hasn't moved. Is it just grind forever or is there a way to make it move. Thank you.

Have you tried with a blacksmith talisman for an extra boost?

You need some ancient hammers, +10, 15, 30 and 60. You use these hammers to ensure success on your high end exe items.

Thanks for the ideas. Dj; no I didn't think I needed the bonus for the smithing once I becme Legendary. L.Lew I'll try the hammers, have a few collecting pixel dust. Will this increase the chance percentage as well or just ensure to make more excemptional items? Should I just stop trying to get to 100% in platemail as well. Thanks again.

Get the best exe smith talisman you can find, and a +60 hammer, and you won't fail. In classic client it will show you the percentage, so you can move hammers around, but un the EC it's blanked out.

Actually, a +15 hammer, Legendary skill, and a Talisman of +20% exceptional or more will allow you to craft anything that will fit a Smith BOD (and most SE armor) at 100% exceptional. Save the +30s and +60s for enhancing.
