I understand casting armageddon. I also understand it had some turn in value a while back.

What is black rock infection?
What are its pros?
what are its cons?

Blackrock infection has recently been revealed as the mark of the shadowlords.

We were told we would make a choice in the rift (andrew thing), but that some had already chosen. Those that played with blackrock already chose!

Result... in Pub 54, that character will be marked as a servant of the shadow lords.

(This is some speculation, and was pieced together from many dev hints and the retribution shard book).

does the infection have any other effects? I've heard the player can be infected as can spawn. Does this do anything or make any special effects show?

Spawn can become infected if someone passes them while carrying blackrock. They can also become infected by another infected character (PC and Spawn I think).

Signs of being infected:

Seeing monsters turn blackrock infected around you.
Strange voices speaking to you in the lower left corner of your screen.

There may be more, but that is all I can think of...
