What i find to be complete BULL**** yet again a bard can do nothing to them. Peace direct or area does nothing. Discord --- Nope. Can't provoke them or the target of. 480 skill points and can't use them at all.. This is not like where one class out does another and would be best to use ragned vs melee or magic, the bard just plain ole has no effect. They need to stop doing that.

Wouldn't this be a function of golems in their raw state? Or an extension of the raw state to uber difficulty levels at the modded stats? I haven't looked at this at all, and you are right, bards need some love for the difficulty level, or rather tedium level, of raising their skills.

We are talking about not knowing about the "preview" event, (not the queen dawn event ) Which was not announced on any website or anytime in game other than while it was happening (and we are unsure of what game channel it was announced in). This event went on pretty much privately.

If you'd bothered to pay any attention, you would know that the golems at Humility were stuck in the mountains on all shards and that many shards had a golem spawn on Magincia for quite a while. Players weren't intended to kill the Humility golems before the event.

If your shard did something apart from the norm (since there were no multi-shard "preview events"), you need to take that up with your EM(s) or Mesanna

Well no spawn on drach again it seems they do not respawn again so i am out of luck again. oh well

Did they now? Gheed's post went from Chessie to 'quite a few shards'.

People killing the golems placed at Humility on Thurs wasn't an event, it was poor placement of mobs created in advance for the Dawn event. Golem Spawns on Magincia are nothing new, been happening for weeks on many shards. Only change was the armor dropping on the golems, which was introduced with the publish.

Might want to educate yourself first.

I've been reminded a couple times it was announced through the same global announcement system that has been in game forever. You know, the one for system down messages and the like. So anybody logged in at the time should have seen it regardless of what chat channel they were in. I was in the EC tending plants when I saw the message. The EC chat log is still foriegn to me so I couldn't confirm exactly where it came from.

There have been several events announced like that through the years and it always seems they garner the same reaction from a few of those that missed it. My point, though communicated poorly on my part, was that it is what it is. Sometimes there is a bonus for just being at the right place at the right time. Both in life and in game. This was my lucky day and maybe i rubbed it in a little. For that I apologize.

But I'm not against those sort of real time events. Even if I miss them. It is part of what makes UO personal to me and makes me feel connected to the people at EA who still give a dam. I definitely appreciate Mesanna for spending her Friday evening off the clock and in the game.

Speaking of... she (Mesanna) spent her birthday (a weekend evening) giving us one hell of an event on Catskills. That was unannounced up an until someone posted it on the Catskills forum... and that person caught a lot of hell for posting it and letting the "secret" out. So I guess there is always someone who won't be happy with the communication no matter what the form.

I am talking about the manual spawning in Magincia a few days before the actual event. An event that was indeed announced in game at the time of the event with no actual advanced notice. This is how people had the new armor pieces days before the actual EM/Dawn event.
