Beware! Character Copy feature seems bugged! be very careful if using it.

I confirm what other people complained about.
I have copied a character from Atlantic to Test Shard and a few hours later I
noticed his great scrapper is missing from Atlantic. No other explanation possible, I didn't play him after copying.

Do not risk your items until devs fix this.

I had the same thing happend to me, - it just poffed... and i was told i did not have that spell...but this was a invasion book...

For some strange reason, i hit the uoassist arm button - as i have that as arm primary....
...- and voila, out of nowhere it dressed up with it again....

I made a account here to post same problem, never have used this site, long time UO player.

I lost several items on my character using that character copy..

VERY VERY BUGGED!

I cannot believe the developers of this game passed this garbage.

My issue has been resolved.

The second I found out I am missing my scrapper I have paged in-game.
The GM that came followed me to Test Shard and Atlantic, and in the
end found the item and placed it back in my backpack.

The warning should still stand until this is patched for good, but at least it's good to know this is not irreversible.

thank you for posting! I did a Char copy soon as it went live, after seeing this post I checked and my Tome of Lost knowledge is gone . As it was on my thief char, I seldom equip it, hence why I haven't noticed it missing from my pack. Waiting on GM response as I write.

A big Thank you to GM Akemai! I went in que and reported my tome missing. Shortly afterwards, it was placed back in my pack with the message that it had been found!
I checked my char and no other items seem to be missing, so I would say just spellbooks are all that are *poofing* on transfer

Also had a spellbook disappear on me doing this. Just gotta open the character copy menu again and then close it and the item re-appears.

It seems to be only spellbooks so far. I have done 3 char copies, even tho I knew the books were coming up missing and on all 3 copies, the spellbook I was holding would come up missing when I logged back into the non copy.

I got hit by this bug too. Scrappers and a Tome of lost Knowledge goner on two different characters. Spellbooks equipped while copying.

GM Akemai helped me several times too. I couldn't sent a positive feedback to the customer service since they send you to a dead link for GM reviews. I guess he/she is one of the better GMs that we have, at least according to the reviews (12 good, 2 bad reviews, not bad ):

After a short waited I was visited by GM Akemai. He/she wouldn't be specific about what the exact nature of my problem was. But after a couple different attempts he/she solved my issue.

A positive experience...I submitted a feedback saying as much!

My GM whispered me in just no time flat, and fixed the issue without a problem. GM Akemai (spelling) was super, super nice and very polite and professional. I shoulda asked them to fix the house drama while I was at it...

(..) By the way, thanks to GM Akemai for spending time trying to help me. Sad faces all around...

(..)I am guessing a GM flicked the switch on my account by mistake and GM Akemai was kind enough to flick it back on!

(..)The second set, I am unable to fix and paged a GM. GM Akemai was helpful in determining what the problem was. It seems that the security setting owner means owner of the house not the character that locked it down.

Well...
Finally had a visit from GM Akemai, he was incredibly helpful and was able to figure out it was a bug with where i was standing, so he moved me to a city and then i was able to log back into that character once again.

After placing a help request, GM Akemai was able to find my ship. The devs are looking into the problem. They think it has something to do with parking at the emporium or maginica.

With all the bad publicity GM's get these days, I just gotta post my encounter with GM Akemai.

GM Akemai is awesome, I agree. He/she helped me before the patch with the fishmongers not seeing my boat at the docks. GM Akemai stayed with me for almost 45mins one night trying to figure out what to do to fix the problem.

So I agree, for this GM.

I would also like to mention how helpful Akemai was. I won SW-4 and had trouble placing. This issue was resolved within 20 minutes.

I can never stop thanking GM Akemai for returning my Ethy, Thanks for helping us out!

GM Akemai is awesome. They helped me get my Britannia Ship back when it was teleported to a server line and the runes to it all broke. They have also helped me with a smaller issue a while ago. This person truly is an asset to UO.(..)

and some bad encounters:

(..) Both GM Inarea and GM Akemai of Atlantic both replied to my GM help requests. They first sent me a link to a web page that does not exist and therefore I was unable to read it. Then I received a message that did not function in UO but I did get the email from that message shortly afterwards. To the help request that simply stated "My ship is stuck" They stated that...

"We understand that you would like our involvement in this situation, but Game Masters aren’t available to assist with this issue." (..)

(..) GM Akemai decided to jail me for 10 minutes without speaking to me or responding while he dismantled my rooftop design including parts that by his own statement were not offending any rules. (..)
