Best way to get relics?

Heya,

What do you think is the best way to get relic fragments?

Killing stuff in virtue dungeons, getting virtue artis?

Killing stuff in Ilshinar trying to get minor arties?

Just going for peerless etc. for high end loot?

Gauntlet?

Been trying with 2000 luck g dragons, swoops and balrons (a lot) and 0 relics from looted items so far. Thou is it still true that old mobs (balrons, ancients etc.) drop crappier loot then the new monsters?

You can't unravel any of the armor pieces, only the weps and shields. Nothing that is blessed can be unraveled.

What about all the "cursed" armor/weps/jewels? I got a ton of them. Think the most I pain was 10k for AoF, LOL.

Could you take an existing looted item (e.g., a piece of jewelry) and nudge the properties high enough with imbuing (without using a relic fragment) so that it would give you a relic fragment when you unravel it?

That's one option I plan to explore. I was hoping to get an answer from Leurocian in this week's FoF about whether weighting affects unraveling in the same way as imbuing. If it does you can establish what a piece will unravel to by using its value in the imbuing gump. If it says the "total property weight" is 451/500 or higher it should give a relic.

The problem is to get the 451 it has to be a exceptional item and normal loot is not exceptional so the only way i see is to get this is to craft exceptional item with a high end runic ! unless my math is wrong i was gonna try a few pieces but I am only at 96 atm so dont have enough skill yet

Which gets us back to the original gripe I had with imbuing. That the crafter is extremely dependent on warriors. To do even the lowest level imbuing of certain properties you have to have relics. I hope Draconi provides some alternate means for relics soon.

Yeah, we were talking about this with few mates also. Also the fact that the special ingrediens can be obtained Only by fighting, not even with runics.
