Best template for Casual Player

Been a few years but not new to Siege.

I want to play again, but don't have the time I once had.

So I am looking for opinion as to which template would be best to play for a casual player. Hour here and there with possible week long downtime.

Currently have a low skill ABC archer with hiding, but am willing to change to anything. Previously was a mining/blacksmith.

The 'stay in trammel' opinion is valid, doing that now on LS, but bored.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on what "casual" is. Do you plan on farming also? If so, a tamer mage would be a well rounded template.

I'd also suggest going with a tamer/mage. It's the most versatile template. I personally run with this:

120 taming/lore/vet
120 music/disco
115 magery

I have many other skills stoned, but don't really use them as this one is a lot of fun for pvm. He's useless in pvp, but I can put on hiding/stealth to help there if needed.

A true tamer/mage would probably be something like this:

120 taming/lore/vet
120 magery/eval/med

120 Tame, 120 lore, 120 vet, 120 music, 120 disco and 120 magery. Can't go wrong.

For all around casual template, I like an archer. Can pvp, can pvm, can duel, can hide in a corner and dismount your friends to scare the **** outta em. Tamers better and easier for pvm, but it restricts you to pvm. Though I suppose with a mage, you can gate around, that's helpful...

This was my original thought a few years ago, something that could still be functional without needing all arti/imbued gear.

Are craft skills no longer in demand? I was considering setting up a little trade shop and just supply people with items. Providing for the community would be a rewarding task for me, more so then being able to solo a champ spawn.

From the 'Where to Shop' thread it seems there are already some very good vendors available, and I have no desire to work skills without a void to fill.

I like to run Tame/Lore/Mage/stealth/hiding/snoop/steal. Pretty fun on Siege.

not really sir. If you want to be an effective pvp archer its very very different from the pvm archer. Completely different armor/skill set ups.

Just sayin...

Disco/Tamer is the way to go!! rawr
