Ehhh there is no BEST mage armor.

It would probably be over capped in all resist.

There is no one "best" suit.

There are probably a few common pieces between them though(assuming factions):
Lieutenant Of The Britannian Royal Guard (10lrc, 2 mr, and 5 int)
faction crimson (10 dex, 10 hp, and 2 hp regen)
Conjurer`s Garb (2 mr, 5 dci)

Beyond that, template will play a large role as well as funds.

My current best is:
84/90/72/85/75, 100 lrc, 40 lmc, 10 mr, 20 sdi, 70 dci, 2/6, 25 hp increase
(Corpse/Prot/Wraith proof - including all at once) This is a Necro/Mystic/Mage.

My second best is:
70/78/70/70/70, 100 lrc, 40 lmc, 8 mr, 15 sdi, 70 dci, 2/6, 25 hp increase
This one has a huge amount of Stat increase because its a Parry/Mage that I didn't want to need to use Dex pots on (though I still have them - I just prefer them to be optional).

Yeah , I agree. The versatility with armor is way beyond one suit. Specially as more and more artifact drops come out people become more creative with their suits.

I'm not sure my suit is the *best*, but it includes the following pieces:

Artifacts
Folded Steel Reading Glasses, Armor of Fortune, Inquisitor's Resolution, Crystalline Ring, Ornament of the Magician, Quiver of Infinity, Conjurer's Garb, Crimson Cincture, Totem of the Void, and an Arcane Shield.

Runic/Imbued
Neck, arms, legs, mage weapon.

Not a cheap suit, but easy to piece together and certainly viable in PvM/PvP application.

That's about right - /the Crystalline for a 50% EP Ecru. /Totem of Void for Treatise on Alchemy.

Yea that was my old suit set up now i run a mostly crafted suit only arties i got are mace and sheild glasses orny crystaline ring treaties of alchemy quiver and conjurer's garb rest is crafted and i roll a -20 mage wep sp 20 dci wep.TYR
