Anyone think I can get away with enhancing it with a Val runic hammer?

Enhancing with a runic hammer won't add anything. You can only add material properties by enhancing. Using an ASH reduces the chance of breaking it, but in general materials properties only affect the damage type, (luck, durability and strength limits being their other effects on weapons).
In short, enhancing it won't really enhance it.

The only good item I've gotten from the Tmaps are the Pardons, which were VERY sadly reduced in frequency.

Absolutly Everything else in the chest will have saturated the market shortly, if it has not already.

Edit: the 6 mod items are amusing, but worthless. The intensities are so low and random, they will remain useless.
