Again people are upset that they'll not get that other guys insurance money or aids... And of course taking that 2 or 3 mins to re-equip is sooo upsetting. 20 mins for factions.. oops, that was YOUR choice. I suggest a few more bless deeds too sooth your souls about that loss of gold.

If the persons running this template and wants to PvP, I suggest you just leave the area. Of course most you all know that if you can't kill them in your insured uber suit that the other guy MUST be cheating. Theres also Barneyland to go too so maybe you can "uber talk PVP" um to leave.

I suggest doing some serious direct damage testing. Ya know death strike pain spike WoD. While this suit does seem unbalanced and in direct opposition to most of the changes we've seen around here lately we dont typically use direct damage as a "finisher" as it may well be intended.

Not in my view instead of having to wait untill i have enough friends online to stay alive in the constant gankfest that goes for pvp these days I can fight the zerg no skill numbers game today and actually fight without insta death so what if the three to 5 of you can't collect my insurance you'll be running the same suits so no deaths long battles till suits are nerfed or destroyed whats the downside here ? less ins gold? you can't ego stroke by having gotten more counts than someone else? I can play for hours without going into stat?

Is it the impact of the suit itself that's the problem, or of the suit plus dog form?

Because if it's the latter, suit plus dog form, one seemingly-easy solution would be to cancel out the effects of the suit entirely when in any of the special forms: Ninja, Necro, Mage (through Polymorph spell); etc.

This could also prevent the inevitable invention of the over-powered PvM "Berserker Sampire Ninja in Stone Form with the Berserker Suit with the Wall of Hungry Mouths" template or something like that.

One thing the new Producer needs to learn right now: Do not underestimate our ability to combine things in different, unexpected, and over-powered ways. In both PvP and PvM.

In other words don't underestimate our ability to in effect turn one of UO's greatest virtues, its flexibility, into an exploit.

LOL..Vexxed is very interested because his guild on a certain shard was reduced to playing only that template. After being trashed...by wrestle/parry mages...they have disappeared and are only to be seen on test center playing them...with that suit. They don't dare to come out and actually fight..on..say..a mage...LOLOLOL!!!!

As sure as the sun rises ..you can bet he and his girls will be on production shards..on their dogs... with this suit. They can't survive on anything else.

ummm thats your big concern? Bush parry templates are already obnoxiously hard to kill. Confidence isn't even impacted at all by the berserk.

If anyone has been playing lately on tc they will know what i'm talking about. Thrower + Dog form + this suit = invuln. Seriously you can redline this person and have 5-6 people dumpin on them and they simply wont die. 1vs1 you can redline them fairly easy but guess what? You can't kill them. What is the real purpose of this suit? I grantee within a week of this publish if things stay the same all you will see are dog form throwers in berserk suits. You think dog form throwers are bad now, just wait till they get this easily obtainable suit.

2) 1 vs 1 you cant kill them? Where have you been playing lately? There have always been certain dog form templates that were damn near unkillable. No news flash there.
But they have never been seriously potent so nobody really cared as only a fool would die to them occasionally. Its still the same. This new template is just not that offensively powerful. And as always its pretty boring to play.

Why do some people always feel the need to freak out over new templates on test center? Year after year its the same. The world is gonna end because of what?

I have contributed hundreds of PVP balance changes to this game during beta, I was a seer and a companion on the atlantic shard and contributed to developing scripts and many third party custom add-ons ; before anyone points it out I'm also a confessed hacker (and I made up to the community which has forgiven me) and also was a programming genius nerd (for my age).

I am also the most wanted murderer of atlantic with Brainbug ; came right after the famous "trapped box" killer who had about twice the number of kills I had.

I never killed a noob, always raided in deep dungeons with never more than one blue healer whom many know as Nick-of-Time.

100 + people conspired by using an infiltrator who I and nick trusted after 5 months of daily playing... people hated me THAT much.

But Nick got my head, he must have gulped 10 red pots to get to it, but he got it.

It was worth over 2k USD real cold cash if I sold the gold on e-bay... but I let it decay along with my house full of server birth rares (I was a thief from day one, many may remember TassleHoff in bucs den )

Just because I was a hardcore player and didn't like the fact money was taking over my virtuous game. When Brainbug died, I let it all decay and posted my protest here (its a shame it was lost) but anyways..

How's that for PVP ?

Oh and yes I admit you probably know more about current PVP than I do... I haven't yet made the effort because this item based pvp is really getting on my nerves to be honest...

Bottom line is that you obviously spent a few minutes getting owned on Test and decided to come here ranting about the end of the world.
Then a few people with common sense clearly stated why you are wrong and now you are trying to back-peddle.

I copied my nox/fencer/archer over to test the other day and was just destroying this guy. He was redlined, and I doubleshotted him 3 times and he was alive. I thought maybe there was some bug or he was magically getting 2 second bandaid heals or something between my shots.

If someone knows what they are doing in any ninja/stealth template you wont kill them either. My ninja wears a hp regen 17 suit in dog form I have hp regen 57(according to the enhanced client). In wolf form I have 50hci and 170 hp and with hiding/stealth/smoke bombs I don't die unless I make a mistake or let groups of mages spam paralize/sleep.

Interesting read here. However something tells me that when people actually start using this suit for PvP, as opposed to all these assumptions, they will realize it's not as "uber" or "overpowered" as everyone is making it out to be.

I'm reminded of when barding got its mastery skills outlined and put on test a lot of people who complaining how it was going to ruin PvP. And first week it was released all the complaining stopped and there hasn't been a whisper yet about how it ruined PvP.

And yes you are right you guys know a whole lot more about AoS pvp than I do... I never really argued that. What I know however is how you guys see it, and I've been studying every pvp post for the last year or so.

And I also have the experience of leading a wolf pack of FoA (and later Oes) into the wild and making such a good challenge that players would call their friends at 4 AM in the morning to get reinforcements to kick our ass before the server went down.

I'm a born leader, coordinator... I know how to make pvp interesting again and at the same time taking the most "juvenile snotty fellas" back to where they belong, under my rule.

All in all... I love when people mistake Wisty for Fayled... its got a certain charm !
