Bells show status of towns

Anyone know how that works yet?

In the Publish notes it was stated that looking at the Bell of Courage replica would tell one the status of the city (with reference to the Virtuebane Invasions).

I can't figure out how it works, though.

GL's losing Vesper atm, I see no obvious change...Might be missing something, though, or might not have kicked in yet.

only town lost on Legends so far is Cove, and that pedestal is red, the bell is dark and called 'Corrupted Bell of Courage'

Ah, ok...So it seems to be for victory and defeat, as opposed to measuring the progression.

I'm not certain .... currently all the towns on Europa seem clear of bane, and all the bells are pale yellow or gold, depending what you want to term it, but I'm certain in the past I've seen them much darker shades.

I've a suspicion they are an indicator to bane influence building in the area, so they may darken as an invasion gets near, but I'll have to spend a bit of time watching to see if they are that useful.

Maybe they are just markers for 'lost' towns, but I'm certain I've seen the darker colour and we've not lost a town yet. If all they do is change colour during an invasion, well there are other clues more immediate than the bell, like the bane trying to kill me....

Same on LS - I'm glad they didn't turn off the guard spawn, went there to look & had 2 guards side by side, from the very second I got there, escort me around, I would have Never found it on my own.The first time I saw it, it was just in shades of B&W, odd, must be something intermittent on my end.
