The rich don't want to sell commodities, they want to sell rares and artifacts, something the bazaar is not intended to do.
Is there anything in their design that prohibits that (to be used to sell rares and artifacts...) ?
If there is not, they WILL end up being used to sell expensive goods, IMHO.......
Even moreso, since they can be hired only on a weekly basis. This means, for most players who only have sometime during the weekend to play UO, to basically being able to use the Bazaar vendors only a few hours per week.
Who wants to have the hassle to put up the Bazaar vendors' inventory for resources and similar items, which means low profit items but high number of items (LOT of more work than just putting up a few expensive items....) during their few hours weekend play time only to then have to take all of the inventory off by the following weekend if they loose their bidding for the following week ?
Spending a good chunk of one's own playing time to just put up and take off a vendor's inventory, for many players might not be the best time to spend their in game time......
Instead, if the Bazaar vendors will end up being used for expensive, few items, it will take only a few minutes to put up 4, 5 highly priced items that bring in lots of profit and take them off fastly, should one loose the bid for the following week.....
As I said, UNLESS there is something in their design which prohibits the sale of expensive items (
like a CAP on the max price tag each individual item can have....), I see these Bazaar vendors ending up being used for few, expensive items rather than for many, low cost items........
