I get tired of seeing lively things in UO go away because some players don't want to see other players do something. As long as it's legit, let players play. It's not a Single Player game. Accept other players.

Agreed....don't people have anything better to do than be tedious pains in the butts over people training....my god....go do something productive other than pointing your fingers at something that's really innocuous: someone training a skill up.

The idea that people care enough about this to page a GM, or interrupt the training by casting invis is just so grade school...

That was the same GM that gave me a 24 hour suspension last week for calling another player sh*tty (crappy, for those of you not good at "hangman").

He gave me canned responses after I was finally able to respond (since I use that hot key in uoassist, so had to disable it before I could respond).

It's because of all the traffic there, your chance of getting logged out is nill maybe once in 100 times, so peeps burn counts there, macro, ya name it.
And our mentioned Gm, I agree with my many dealing with him, he does NOT know this game or game mechanics at all. And I have put in numerous GM Review complaints on him/her. All complaints with my original gm complaint & the GM's documentation/replies that did not even pertain to my complaint. I have had dealing with 2 others & they knew their job & more over they knew the game.
Sorry to give such a negative attitude towards GM's but unfortunately they have caused most of this grief on their own. ( And yes getting Thanked for playing War Hammer many times doesn't set too well either. If you don't know who in #&!! you working for says a lot too. Says I don't care, but I'm getting a pay check !

Well, the OP may not be telling the full story, considering it's quite easy to get frustrated about stuff like this. My best advice is to move somewhere that is good for training without people bothering you. Seems you didn't take this precaution or you wouldn't be in this predicament.

Well my suspension/ban expires in about 3 hours. One of my friends said he would get me an advanced character token because there is a chance the GM will reset my ninjitsu to 0. wtf?

Follow the advice of training in the middle of nowhere once your back on. Their are people who think anyone doing anything more than once in a row are scripting. Scriptors are the current Great Evil(tm), and it can be a PitA when you train, or as in my case, craft. I've had people stand outside the house, or come in and 'confront' me, as if they were sure I wouldn't answer because I was obviously afk. Something I don't miss from when I lived by the road just south of Luna.

I'm now off in the woods. Peace and quiet, rarely see a soul, or jerk, as the case may be.

And perhaps we have incompotent gm staff now days! I have had sevral bad experiances with that particular gm nothing in the relm of bannings just lazy response and canned replys with broken links. I could see this happen with that particular gm I have submitted feedback on him and I advise others to do the same its the only way to remove the incompotent gm's and hopefully gain some people who value thier jobs!

I use my often passed 18x18 for storage and my tower that I havnt seen another player within 50 screens of for everything else.

I do not bank sit but I do wander around looking at the player owned vendors for deals and I do not want to hear *tink* *tink* *tink* *tink* HEEYAAA! *tink* *tink* *tink* *tink* HEEYAAA! *tink* *tink* *tink* *tink* or the other sound effects that go along with skill building. I expect it in dungeons and out in the wild but not in Luna. I've never understood the logic of training outside of Luna other than the traffic keeps connections alive so people can go AFK, watch TV or whatever other than actively playing the game.

There's no difference, gain-wise, between beating on a golem in your house or outside of the West gate of Luna other than to make a convenient place for people to give you a hard time or page GMs on you.

Also people in Luna are idiots. I was actively training a weapon skill, while shape changing, casting nukes, and moving around. It was painfully obvious I wasn't AFK watching TV. I had no less than 3 twerps cast invis on me. People in Luna just like to be *****. And as to the "why don't you hunt low level monsters", after the 50 billionth time hunting ettins, it gets a little boring. People just want to up their skill so they can do "big boy" stuff. If you like to hunt orcs after 13 years of playing the game, have fun with that- but don't assume some sort of guilty behavior just because others choose different ways.

Thats why I think that all the non resource skills need a new skill stone. Allows a skill to be copied and picked up by a character on the same account as long as they are PS to the same level.
