Bank Designs?

Are there any plans to complete the bank designs? Baja's is incomplete, and to my knowledge Europa doesn't yet have one.

I think you are flogging a dead horse issue here. The last 20 posts made by winners, myself included, regarding this issue have been totally ignored by the powers that be. It is pretty disgusting imo.

I live in hope that EA/Mythic will honor their promotion.

I really hate it that us 'winners' have to continually 'ask' and 'complain' and 'carry on' about the 'prize' we 'won' but 7 months later have still to receive. And the next person that says 'but the devs have been putting work into SA and havent' had time.... yadda yaddda' may I remind you that SA was in the works and on the books as a commitment well before the Bank Renovation competition was advertised and run and therefore provides NO REASON for the lack of prizes.

EA hired real contractors to do the bank redecorating.

They're waiting for that part...you know, the one that holds the roof up. Can't finish the job until it comes. Should be here, oh, any day now. We'll give you a call.

To my knowledge, the event moderators don't have alot of the tools to decorate yet. Why not give them the designs and the powers, and have them do it?

EA most famous Lines/Words "We'll get to that shortly" & "We're looking into that" & nothing gets done. It's sad when we know what they will say before they even say it. But after 9 yrs & hearing their excuses, it's pretty much been the same thing over & over.

I don't particularly care 'who' does it, I would just like it done.

If they are not prepared to fulfil the promotion by giving the winners the prize then they need to front up and say so, they should also refrain from offering any other competitons.

This will be another promotion advertised by this company that has not had the prizes issued. Anyone remember the 5 Malas Castles per shard that NEVER originated? I do.

Oceania only ever got 1, the other 4 never materialized.

Draconi is doing these things in his spare time, which he should have more of now (hopefully) since SA is out.

7.5 months and counting would seem well past the near future. If they haven't finished 'C' what hope in hell is there of ever getting to 'O' at this rate?

Purposely ignoring people who have a legitimate gripe does not foster good relations. And the fact that this issue has been raised well over 10 times now for no response shows a concerted effort on behalf of all devs/community reps to PURPOSELY ignore this issue. We KNOW you read the boards. How about responding?

I have decided to bump this every week or so until a response is made. I guess I will look at other forms of action if the ignoring continues. This is one issue that I am not prepared to just let 'die' into oblivion and I hate it that a competition that I spent well over 50 real time hours entering and then was thrilled to win, has resulted in leaving such a bitter taste in my mouth. It is seriously not good PR to do this to your players. All I want is a response.

I spend 6 hours a day working unpaid. =]
No, that's not an exaggeration. I've got papers to grade and lesson plans to be made, and my school asks me to come earlier when I'm not paid for too.
So, I think Draconi could find an hour of his time once a week to work on the banks. They would have been done by now.

I could swear I heard they were leaving Fel banks untouched because they didn't want to mess with the original lands... or something like that. Anyone else remember hearing that?

Well it seems Oceania has been partially done too!

However, while the inside has been done and most of the outside, the whole bank roof has not been touched and is still plain 'grey' tile, which is a touch disappointing as this is the main part of the design. I wonder if they were 'working' off just the 'internal wbb'.jpg not both the internal and external .jps ????

If so this is the 'external' in how it should look. It would be really nice to see the top of the bank completed, as it is now nothing has changed and the design is kinda 'lacking' .

The hastily placed arcane circle put down around tot 3 time is still just kinda dumped on the ground, as is the nasty blob of red blood that has been there a while and needs the streetsweepers, the moongate as shown is also absent. My understanding was they put moongates on other shard designs, even tho they were one way? If so it would be nice to have one on ours.

I am surprised at the design put on as from what I had seen initially the 'winning' design was listed as (3) seen HERE. (I submitted 3 designs in total). This was my preferred design but frankly after all this time I am just happy to see any of them lol.

I am just GLAD to see that finally this is being finished, I only wish some communication could have been forthcoming well before this so that people, like myself, didn't have to become upset.

Anyways I hope they finish the bank roof although atm I have seen no one on shard so not sure who to 'contact' regarding this.

Well I dunno then. I wasn't sure if they were just going to do the outiside, and then when he moved on to the C's I figured that was all he was going to do for Baja. But Oceania has it's inside done...then again it's up to Draconi what he takes from the winning designs, if he wants to do part of it and change some bits up or whatever that was in the rules that it could happen that way. Maybe he was trying to speed things up a bit by doing parts of designs on different shards so there would be more visual progress for more players.

Well no offense but, don't run a contest if you will run out of time. Draconi
shouldn't have been the only one doing it. I love Draconi so I do not mind
waiting. I just hate having people look at the Chesapeake bank and still to this
day complain to me. "Thats all you designed? Thats stupid. You suck at
designing."

Mesah dun sux :-( I think I am decent. Anywho I heard a rumor that Mesanna
may be helping once she finishes the Fairgrounds for everyone. Just a rumor so
don't hold Mesanna to it.​

i have to agree with gareth. i dont mind waiting i just dont want it forgotten about on chessy. i really liked that bank design and it would be cool if it could be finished sometime. thanks draconi.

I don't mind waiting either, but this not-even-half-done thing sucks. It's butt-ugly and it's a little not fair to work on someone else's when you've already started on ours.

I noticed a difference so I am going to go with it.

Some of the banks have non highlighting items like Oceania. Draconi has a script or something for that. Which causes less lag.

Some of the other banks have highlight stuff which may mean its being done by another person.

I agree take out the Zoo Statue with Green bubble thing. I only put that in because Chrissay say to make things in the design that shine and sparkle to win hehe.

Who design Europa and Oceania and stuff? Their is no Plaque.

drachenfels is not done, still quite a few things missing but at least he placed the gate and stuff yesterday, but now you cant use the stairs at all since you cant go from top of stairs to roof or visa versa at all now.. before you could onto the roof with some hidious floor tiles that is if you didnt hit that 50% chance of walking onto the teleporter which sended you to the ground again. these floortiles are now removed and stairs is useless complete.

LOL well yes they must of, I didn't go to the bank until just before lunch yesterday and then as I was on my way out waited until today to 'comment' again hoping that the night fairies would come and finish it.

You are kind of correct in that Oceania is 'done' however as I said above there are some glaringly obvious omissions that really detract from the overall decor. There are other things 'missing' however those I can live with. The whole bank roof is a bit much tho

I have put big 'X's to make it obvious!

The X on the ground is the ugly ugly placing of that arcane circ and that blob of equally ugly blood that really detract from the whole. The poster of Ricardo on the eastern wall really is past it's used by date, and the more obvious lack of roof deco and moongate are standouts.

I think it will be functional and quite beautiful if these things get 'fixed up'.

Actually I am worried they were working off just 1 of the 2 .jpgs that made up the submission so do not realise that it isn't finished. So I am really not impatient now they have started just concerned that they may think it is 'done' when it isn't. I am wondering if other 'banks' have had stuff missing due to a similar reason, ie, if you squished two pics into ONE large .jpg they got 'both' but where two .jps were submitted as part of the same design they only 'saved' one. All my submissions were by including both .jps in the one email with them marked external and internal, as well as with the weblink to my site that had all 3 submissions displayed.

By all accounts I think they really made the effort to move the banks along which I am very happy to give them credit for. I look forward to seeing all the banks once they are done and will probly go for a scoot around the shards at the end of next week.
