Bane Dragons: Can We Get Some Griefer Repellent?

There is a group of players on Atlantic determined to ensure that as few bane dragons are tamed as possible. There is really no way to protect against these folks and they've been in the Abyss for hours now. As soon as the bane dragons are subdued, they kill-shot the dragons.

Any chance we can get some CSR or Dev help?

This was expected. Just wait it out. After a week or two you will be able to tame all you want. It might suck to have to wait but they will give up after enough time has passed. This always happens with things like this and is always the same. Was the same with the dread warhorses.

Doesn't the event end in a couple weeks?

Same thing happened when the dread mares were introduced. The minute they saw someone else getting the taming message they would start attacking it. Nothing was done back then since the rule to justify the behavior was that no one has exclusive rights to a monster. Eventually they will tire and move on.

The event will last long enough to get one. Don't worry. Let the kids tire themselves out. They will get bored with it soon enough.

The folks in the Abyss aren't tamers. They are griefers. Some folks don't see the distinction, but I do.

If they grief there too, go to felucca lost lands and kill the griefer... Gotta love felucca eh.

Where do they spawn in T2A? The ones who show up in the war, when I try to tame one it says "That creature cannot be tamed."

They cant be tamed in Lost lands, they are event monsters and you get the message "you cant tame that"

On a given shard, one bane dragon can be tamed at a time. If someone tames it, then decides to sit hidden on it near the spawn area for a couple of hours, no additional bane dragons can be tamed on said shard.

He means other lands, too bad they're only tamable in the abyss. I suppose we just overlook facts though. Also, it's you know, too much to ask for people to be civil. Oh stratics.

Try at about 7-9am, if your schedule allows.

I always find that even the most popular spots are empty in the early morning.

I've been lucky enough to have some helpful people help me get two and by help I mean tame and give me while I help keep spawn off cause I'm only at 115/115. I've got two now in case this sort of thing happens to a friend. And if it doesn't well I got two and eventually will be able to sell one.

Hm. Because top side to me meant overworld ... or, lol, whatever you call the none underworld or abyss part of Ter Mur so I was like huh?

Well, two actions for any would-be tamer to put on a UO macro:

Use Skill Taming
Target Last

Then hold the button down, hehe. That's all you need really, oh, besides 120 tame for best results ;D.

I lure the dragon away from the spawn then it takes me a couple of attempts to tame one, and im only 110/110

I dont know if the game screwed up or if you can tame the bane dragon and go hide then one wont spawn all day, but Atl hasn't had them for awhile now.

Yes people taming then hiding prevents new ones from spawning and has happened a few times on Atl now.
