Bane Chosen Event: Stuck when u get 2500 loyalty points?

Hi all, I managed to reach 2500 loyalty points for, who else, the Bane Chosen.

Now, I managed to grab 2 satchels from the war chest (both items are only fit for trash, btw), but the loyalty points do not reset. If I continue killing the Ophids, only the negative points against the Ophids continue to go down, but I wont be gaining any more points for Bane.

Is this event limited to 2 exchanges per char? Or is it designed for you to see-saw between the 2 sides?

If you were to solo, its (20x1 + 20x3 +20x5) = 180 points per flag. Multiply by 5 flags, its like 900 points to route solo... If I have to reset my -7734 points against the Ophids, this event is over for me > (

Why would you want to change side?
Either you realize that you're not on the right side and change quickly, or you stop killing enemies if you fear having to much hatred from them.
But if you just want to farm them, what's the problem?

Are you afraid of choosing a side and assuming your role in the war?

It is a fair point though - You only get 2500 points of "like" but you can just keep getting hated but at 2500 you have enough points to be a friend of one side and have enough "buffer" points in case you accidentally kill a few of your own side without being un-friended.

Umm, so I guess this event is over for anyone who managed to get 2500 from either side, huh?

I had thought u "expend" your points to obtain rewards from the chest, then go right back into the fray to gain more points. Isnt this the tried and tested progression-and-reward model?

That is not how it works.
You pick a side. You fight for that side. If you reach 1000 kill points AND your side wins you may THEN pick a reward from the chest. On the next round, your side wins again, you may then pick ANOTHER reward. Only if you side wins are you able to get a reward.

The event IS NOT over when you get 2500 points, You can continue to do the waves. You are allowed to get an item from the chest each time you complete all 5 locations. (I think theres 5).

So you can do it as many times as you want.

I think the Op was just confused about the pts. You don't lose the pts by clicking the chest. You only have to maintain 1000 and then every time your side wins.. go click the chest.

Same with the 2000 pt mark... you do the quest... but you are not spending these pts. You just have to have them to be able to click or do the quest.
