Is there any way to get bandages without returning in home/town?
(Probably somethning that I can convert into bandages).

An insured (or owned by "your character") talisman of bandage summoning can give you 10 bandages, after ressurection.

I think you hit it in your original post. You can insure a robe for 10 gold. This robe could then be converted into scraps which can become bandages.

My warrior and my tamer both carry an insured bandage summoning talisman
