Balanced property from Shame loot

Last night I did a quick 15 min run through Shame and unravelled all the drops. The only item that would not unravel was a heavy xbow of alchemy. The only property on it was Balanced. It gave a message about not having any magical properties.

In hindsight, I wish I'd saved the piece so I could look at the item intensity in the imbuing menu. However, being lazy and tired I simply dropped it on the ground. I'm wondering if I could have had a 150 intensity mod for free. I'm also wondering whether it would have allowed 4 additional properties to be imbued, or if it would have ignored the Balanced property once imbued and allowed 5.

Anyone else run into this?

I have a regular bow of alchemy with balanced as the only mod and the weight shows as 100. Not sure why it's called a bow of alchemy with no alchemy bonus

cursed,brittle,- luck add to your imbue pool so if you have a positive and a negative its very possible they even out or close

I'm fairly certain it did not have any negative modifiers on it.

bows with just balanced on them dont unravel. i have made several of them with oak kits.

also since balanced has to do with drinking potions it will have the title as such.

I found a bow that was balanced with minus 100 luck and brittle. It said it had 150 weight. I imbued it with luck to 120 , lower defense 50, damage increase 35 and it was maxed out on points

Thx for the explanations. It sounds like a bug, but it's probably not worth worrying about. I don't play any archers anyways.
