Backpack 2/125 items... Really? Where?

Anyone else encounter this?????

I decided to remove everything from my backpack thinking that I'm somehow overweight often..... and I keep thinking there is something heavy in my pack hiding.... So I get everything out of my pack ...... and hum????? I have 2 items in there??? Where? There is NOTHING in there......

So then I log into KR thinking... well with the grid of the pack there I should be able to SEE something no???

Nothing.....

Hum...?????? So then my thought is.... well maybe all backpacks say 2/125....

So I log in another character .... strip him down to nothing in the pack... and his says... 0/125?????? Ahoyhoy????

So I log back into the first guy.... look again thinking ok now I've logged in and out more than once... 2/125???

What the devil is in my pack??? I swear there isn't a darn thing in there... I've looked and looked and looked again.... Nothing is in my pack.... yet.... even UO Assist see's it cause when I open my pack it says "container holds 2 items".... really???? Cause I'm not seeing them...

I paged a GM like an hour or 2 ago.... 7 in Q..... I sure hope these mystery items are good!.... Maybe I have a super cool arty in there!? Orny perhaps???? that would be nice... maybe something from the champ spawns!... it's like waiting for christmas!

I've had that happen with bags/packs before (not my main back pack, and it'd suck for it to happen in that cos then the next bit of my post doesn't apply) When it happened in a bag or pack before, I put the bag/pack on the floor and axed it, and got an "unused" tile that sells for about a million

Had it happen twice - second time I was stupid enough to pick the "unused" tile up and put it in my backpack - never did check to see if it stayed in there ot not as an invisible item

You can't SEE them when they are in a bag either, only when you axe it

You may want to see the royal physician, looks like it's twins

Do you have any weight? I believe you are supposed to weigh 30 stone with nothing, so if you weigh more than that you must have something in there. Check for black rock pieces or other small black/brown things - I know there have been several instances when I had something in my pack and only found out when I was dropping other things.

Um, also check your earring, cape and necklace slots just to be sure.

Thanks Tazar...... After waiting another 30 min GM Cielua showed up to assist me...... we had quite the discussion over my strange weight problem....

The problem was I had 2 "phantom" items actually IN my bag.... And well.... there wasn't anything in there.... So I don't know what was in there....

She looked ...... I looked.... not a darn thing in there... So we went with option #3..... she took my bag and gave me a new one.....

I have been having weight issues for awhile now..... I wondered if this wasn't it.... perhaps those "items" have odd properties and that's why I seem to be going over weight often and having stamina issues I didn't used to have....

At any rate the pack is empty now!..... hopefully I didn't just lose something important... but if I did neither I nor the GM could see them whatever they were... Gone now.

I've never noticed an item actually going missing, just a ghost-image occupying the slot when I move a couple of items too fast so you should be good on that.

I also never really noticed an actual weight to the ghost-items. I believe that there is (at least there was - not sure if it was fixed) a bug with the salvage bags that could mess up your weight. It is/was something to do with using the "salvage all" option rather than the "salvage iron" or "salvage leather" options. If they did fix the problem, perhaps your character was never fixed...

Malag has never so much as picked up a salvage bag..... Though he has done his share of champ spawns... and frequents doom..... He's also spent his fair share of time lying face down on the dirt....

So hard telling what happened... I don't think I've ever noticed any "phantom" items in my pack.... but I don't play the KR grid system as a general rule....

Though one thing I do remember is trying to pick up some Unmarked tiles at Halloween from one of the monsters... I did actually get one Unmarked tile but I walked that all the way from the cemetery to my house an dropped it on my front walk..... where it still sits(Mostly because I'm afraid to move it or touch it now.... I sure don't want to lose that thing now!).

I had this problem too, once not too long ago. Couldn't carry anything without being overweight. Emptied the pack, still was about 175. Looked and looked, finally!! just slowly moving the mouse cursor around in the pack I found some old rubble in there from magincia.
You know, the fine looking ones, like a sprinkle of pepper? heheh

when i moved mt crafter from napa to origin i ended up with one item stuck in my transfer crate not one of the Gm's i got(all nice and such) could do a thing kept asking where my transfer crate was to show it to them!!

mabye every gm should have to go through the transfer process before they can respond to pages about it !!!

I've always said that a majority of the time I don't think the GM's have ever set so much as a toe in sossaria.... they've never played, never logged in and never so much as read anything about UO..... you page they haven't the slightest clue what your asking.....

I will say this.... at least the GM I paged did show up IN-GAME and assist me.... she knew where my backpack was and replaced it just fine..... so maybe things are improving...

but I know what your saying they definately need to experiance in-game play before they should be working as a GM
