Background Music or Sounds?

So besides the ingame music and sounds that are offered, do any of you listen to other music or background sounds while you play?

For example..
When I craft or resource gather I like the ingame music you hear when your in Trinsic. So I made that play all the time on my mules.

When I go fishing I like to hear seagulls and surf and all that stuff.. so I made a loop consisting of several files from sites like this:

And when I go to EM Events and other kami kaze places where I know I'm dying its just a count cause I know my kids are counting how many times I die.

I listen to Old Judas Priest.

if it's not tv(usually retro), my music varies while playing:
Jack Johnson; Anoushka Shankar; Third Day; Coldplay or Tool.
My favorite is The Time Machine(2002) OST by Klaus Badelt

No sounds or music. I play when the baby is sleeping. I do miss the sounds a little - I love my bells.

When gaming,I usually play Pandora or AOL Radio. AOL has a nice Final Fantasy music station I listen to.

Normally I play UO with UO's own songs and music on ON most of the time.

I do turn it all off when those annoying going too loud, usually get stuck playing over and over *Jungle sounds* come into play...most annoying least to me !

Since one of my homes is right at the downtown Zento wall,
I will turn music off if I am in my home, on Ches.
cuz every time I walk towards the west wall of my home
the Zento music will kick in. It is nice but I don't like it in, overdose.

But normally, the sounds and musics of UO are on ON,
but then again, no one in their right mind has 70+ parrots
on their roof unless they actually enjoy making the *art of UO noise*
on ye roof top.
I use my *GUARDS GUARDS* macro on my rooftops, oft times,
just to get 70 + parrots all squaking back at me, the same thing ! LOL

I like the cattle and sheep noises, Bucs Den Trinsic and other music songs.

Some times I just go to Bucs Den just to HEAR the music played there.
Same for downtown Trinsic.
And I have music boxes in all my homes normally, to play whatever UO songs may be on them when I am in the mood to hear em all, or some of em.

RL noises while playing UO or rl music I would like while playin UO for myself just seems to distract me from the make believe world of UO so I do not play anything no cds no stereo no tv while in UO.
Besides I DO need to hear a dragon grumble in UO and FLEE
so rl music has to be off, or I might not notice,
some tame, left to go wild at my fav. banks !

Now my rl Shelties will BARK sometimes when they hear UO sheep,
guess they figure they can herd those, and they snarl when they hear
my UO cat statues. LOL

Well, they're herding dogs
so they only know what they are hearing,
they think it is real and that somewhere IN the house,
we must have a hidden herd of sheeps
or a cat, making cat noises, but we do not !

Anyhow, when I am in UO world, it is only UO music or sounds,
I prefer to hear, a peaceful makebelieve place, even when being pk'd,

where the CNN HLN and junk on tv does not exist,
nor my oldies
heavy metal rock *albumns* that I may listen to when NOT in UO.

And ifn I DO get to watch an NFL Packer game actually
[be Televised DOWN HERE] which is seldom to rare,
instead of the COWBOYSzzzzz or Patriotszzz over and over again'

THEN all...UO IS TURNED....OFF !!
Actually getting to WATCH the Packers, trumps playin UO
in my book any day ! *used to live in Green Bay, sooo* ahem !!

I listen to the loud whine of fans on my old PC and graphics card. At least in the winter, I am warm with all the heat they throw off.

This may be surprising however everything is muted. Sometimes silence is good.

I like listening to many of the UO songs, but I switch them up on occasion, using the classic old songs at times. I've also switched out ocean going music with tracks from the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack and the battle music with songs from Gladiator and Last of the Mohicans. While we're on the topic of music, can you Devs pillage music from UO2 like Lord of Ultima did? I really like the music from that. Pillage their in-game forum system for alliances too!
