Back from a Long Absence and Looking for a Guild

I live on the East coast but created this Sonoma account back in 2000. All the folks I once hunted with are no longer around. I would love to join a guild that does some Peerless hunts as I have not been on one since my return to the game. I have always been a PVM player never got into the PVP play but might like to try it if it is worth the Reputation hit. Please let me know if any good guilds are available and what I need to do to join. Thanks

Depends on when you play. If your on in the evening (7pm-11pm East Coast Time) then PAS would be a great guild to check out. If your on in the mornings... from around 9am-6pm East Coast Time, then let me know and I would be happy to do some stuff with you.

Whats with the attack on PAS? Dont you think that was a little harsh to say?

Instead of attacking PAS, or any guild for that matter, let the person weigh their options after hearing about the guilds and what types they are.

Not cool and pretty rude. Keep your thoughts like that to yourself. If you dont like them just dont even reccomend or mention them.

Id also like to note im not a PAS member or a lover of them but thats no reason to bash them like you did.

I would also reccomend PAS to you as they would be a good guild to help you get back on your feet.

PAS doesn't suck they are a great buch of people I've played with them. I am currently with KHV they are also a great buch of people to play with. We do alot of peerless and boss hunts. If you would like just let any one of us know that you would like to start hunting with us and to possibly join our family. We could intreduce you to Galahad the gm and see what you think. Just so I know what are some of your char names so I can keep an eye out for ya in game... Look forward to meeting you and doing some hunting..

Welcome back. Depending on how long you been gone, you may have a lot of catching up to do. Stratics here can help with a lot of that and also UO Guide. I been playing since 99, started here on Sonoma in 2001, but was several years before I join up with PAS. All I can say is that they are a great group of folks that are here to have fun and not bash the others above. Wolfie is a good person and if you are into a lot of PvP [and yes I am a PAS member] then she is the person you need to talk to about the PvP guilds. I like KHV also, they are good folks that tag along with PAS many times during our adventures in the Abyss and Doom. Now if you want to just PvM then PAS may the guild for you. Just check around, but make sure to not take a leap of faith as ThraximusZog would ask of you.

Any mention of the words "PVP", "good" and "the name of anyone in COP" (when used in the same sentence and in context with one another) results in computer screens and keyboards across the PvP universe to need an immediate and detailed cleaning. The severe spray of whatever a player may have been drinking / eating at the time of reading your post...and then spewed out at unmatched velocity from the burst of resulting laughter..has also resulted in stock price increases for companies that manufacturer computer cleaning accessories, among other things.

As an investor in said companies, I thank you.

As a computer owner and operator, who thought he would sit down and comfortably read the UO boards while eating a tuna fish sandwich and drinking a glass of milk ...DAMN YOU!!

Why would you call that "diarrhea of the mouth"? It was clean, funny, and only a jab at you and your guilds pvp ability.

You are the one who started spewing nasties about another guild without provocation. The op wanted to know his options for guilds to help him get back into the game and your response was to trash a guild. Why the animosity towards PAS in the first place? If you want to talk trash about a guild you had better expect someone else to say something about you.

Wolfe was stating her opinion about a guild.. The OP wanted options and opinions of guilds and that's what she gave.. Justified or not.. Some see PAS that way some don't.. I for one agree with her.. PAS runs around with the "Holier Than Thou" attitude kinda like Widow Maker's attitude in PVP (See that's a blatant provocation )

I too would recommend KHV.. They are a respectful group of people.. Nice to work with.. And don't carry the PAS chip on there shoulder..

Again this is all just my opinion which probably means nothing to all of you but that's the beauty of an open forum anyone can give there opinion on a subject...

My original response still stands though wolfie could have just as easily said that she thought those other guilds would be better rather than saying pas sucks.

I know we have a history of bickering with each other and most of that is pvp related. I do my best to get you upset in the pvp thread, but this particular thread shouldn't be the place for us to continue that. With that being said I am looking forward to seeing you in the pvp thread and on the field. Nevermind about seeing you on the field you are a stealther and will just take pop shots and disappear.

Ohh Sickshine... Where to start with you...

Why did I and a bunch of Elders leave PAS??? That was mainly cause of KD and a few other elders that had his ear.. But it was also to get away from whiners like yourself who expect to be handed everything instead of actually earning it... But what it came down to was that a group of friends wanted to go there own way and be able to enjoy each others company without having to deal with the drama and the whining that came within PAS.. I had no hard feeling with PAS and still respect some of them (Like Drakelord for example for what he does for the Sonoma community) .. But with any large guild you lumped with the negative.. When I see PAS members being more rude then helpful/respectful thats when i know I made the right decision when i left PAS years ago.. That's where my opinion comes from.. Not the past which you bring up.. But from what i currently see..

As far as our bickering goes.. That stems from the past as well.. I just don't like whiners.. People the cry about templates (Like you just did above) I have played the same template forever.. I enjoy it.. I play it cause it makes people like you cry.. Do I claim to be good at PVP.. Hell no.. I die all the time.. And I don't have to come onto the boards at cry about it either.. That's what kills PVP.. When all you have is trash talking kids people just say ohh well and go find something else to do..

Like I said you won't see me in the PVP thread.. Cause its not worth posting there.. This game isn't about what you say or how many screen shots you post.. For me its about having a good time with friends and a little stress relief from the real world..

You have made my day lol! All i have to do is say that you will hide or stealth and you go off on a tangent about saying im whining or crying about your template. I don't care what you play or how you play it.

I agree all guilds have bad apples.(some would say I am one of the most rotten in pas) I had nothing to do with the game at the time you guys left, but that was the story I got from many people both in and out of PAS. You are right about Drake he is a good guy for PAS and the Sonoma community. He has shown more class than either of us in this thread.

Now I hope I haven't upset you too much. I hope you can enjoy your day and come play with us this evening. I would enjoy getting a kill on you, but its so difficult since you always disappear.
