automap/ replacement for 2d SA?

sorry in advance if this has been covered, it seems SA questions are on here ansd uohall, well everywhere!!
but,

is there a replacenet for the non updating automap for us 2d users? it is near impossible to find my way around without it?

are there any plans devs?

They've mentioned that, since it's a 3rd-party app out of their control there's nothing they can do for it.

I did see some speculation about how players might be able to tweak it themselves to pick up the new maps, but since I don't use UOAM I'm afraid it whooshed over me (I don't have a link handy).
