Atlantic Players...

Hey folks,

I played UO for a long long time a few years ago. I played until artifacts were released and then quit shortly after that. I had several different characters known as Doc, Cinderspella, Kahn, and a few others. I have recently quit my other games that I have played and was considering coming back to Ultima Online. It looks as if a lot has changed. I was thinking about making Atlantic my home shard and was curious to how the pvp is here. Does pvp even exist in UO anymore? Is there quite a bit to do? Still a 7x skill cap? If anyone knows a good guild please give me some information.

Thanks for your time and help. My main concern is pvp, so if you could inform me on how this works. Maybe you got rid of trammel. hehe

Make sure you read the Welcome to Atlantic thread.

Other then that pvp is busy here, probably not as you remember it though.
Try getting with some people on the pvp forum they can probably help you out more.

For pvp join factions or a champ spawn guild.
You can go to fel yew gate it you want but eh

For "mindless" pvp you've got the test shard - save you millions on gear but for pvp with a purpose champ spawning can be good as either red or blue and you can do ok in that situation without having to resort to speedhack.

Expect to see a lot of "hardcore" pvpers zipping along when dismounted at crazy speed - then posting elaborate pictures of their uber low ping (possibly photoshopped) and powerful rig in pathetic attempt at denial

They very well could have a low ping, its not unheard of....i ping to some servers at 10, but just cuase you have low ping does not mean you don't have a speed hack, and for you to seem like you are hacking the person viewing has to have a greatly higher ping and/or horrible computer.

I agree with everyone else tho Factions and champs are the way to go.

I recently rejoined too. Your best bet is to join a guild that has active members that also like to pvp (obv) or simply join a faction and go around killing people. Usually that's the easier of the choices. I prefer champ spawn/raiding guilds, though.

Or... go red and run around Fel. Usually that gets you some PvP.
