Ya, people have been buying it all up since one of the EM's started creating a leprechaun storyline. Their hoping it'll increase in value or become part of a set.

His names "OZ" he is still around occasionally, we are currently allied to RRG$, WAR, HSC, HHYC (what's left of it), and one other guild an RRG$ guy made...forgot the name, something about Lord British.

RRG$ is a bunch of HHYC's that left a while ago.
HSC is entirely made up of old *VK* members.

Oh, a bit of Atlantic news for ya Dodger....Toad Town is kinda dead sadly. Queen Arya moved shards, to LS I think, Alexander is busy with real life, and the rest quit the game or switched shards as well. They were planning to disband the town and ask Mesanna to delete their banner last I heard.

Lake Superior I think, not sure. Alex said he will start the auctions again when he has more time to devote to it, but not sure if they will still be called toad town auctions or not. My info is from about a month ago though, It's possible they might have reconsidered and decided to stay ....hopefully

Until then a guy named MeTheGreat will be doing auctions, he did one today I think.

I like to make free characters of well known people add hide and stealth and go to the auctions and make outrageous bids, works well if the player your cloning is actually there, u sneak in, bid an over inflated bid then hide and watch the chaos.

Ah, that only works for a few minutes though, all the auctioneer has to do is ICQ the person and ask if it was them. Since they are well known, it's unlikely they would lie about it if it was them. plus they can do detect hidden and find you.

Last person I did it too got into a very heated argument with the auctioneer saying he hadn't bid, he was ejected then banned from the house.

No, unless they read this thread, I used to do it to Apollo as well but he knew straight away it was me and would just leave the auction.

Yeah it was his house I would target, his place I filled with over four hundred unicorns took like seven hours, and he came on on his necro, was good. Then I locked down hundreds and hundreds of dye tubs on every available spot in his castle, I wanted to do the same thing with Halloween cat statues but never collected enough to finish the job.

He was finding them nine months later, I wanted to try to figure a way to hide noisy statues in someone's house so they can't find them, so each time they walk past it it makes the noise but they can't get too it, I gotta do some testing when I get back.

I will say I am kind of sad to see alot of the old stuff gone like the player run towns in the real UO(Fel), like Winterfell, although I was happy to see my old Leiahs(I wasn't the original owner, just took it over like 10 yrs ago until I quit) rune library still there. Even the Large Tower with the small house on the roof north of Vesper is gone :-(

Ya, sadly a lot of the original players are gone....some even died in real life....the historical societies tried to preserve the old towns....but most of them disappearred anyways.

The house in the hedge maze is gone as well... Mage tower, gone. It's a very different server now, full of crazy colored event items, monsters that would have been impossible 10 years ago, which can now be beat by one player, as well as a plethora of other changes have snuck in there.

Yep....at this point one player can kill 99% of the things in the game alone. I miss the old days when we had to work together for hours just to win a champion spawn.

Yeah I miss the old days, real pvp with skilled players.... no lrc suits and as soon as that thief got your regs you ran for your life to pick up regs off the ground.. Now everything is either blessed or insured .... hmm we can go on forever with how the game used to be. I enjoy the game again but will never forget the fun we had when it wasn't a safe spot in the world.

I enjoy the game in different ways now, but I will say this, there isn't as much of a rush or thrill anymore.

I enjoyed it more back then.

Yep, UO is definetely the most unique game in the world, and I will enjoy it as long as we are allowed to, I've had a saying for a few years "When UO shuts down forever, I'll be standing on my virtual porch waving goodbye".
