Mods are questions still being posed in Ask the Devs forum?

There haven't been any answers since 11-5-10.

Since we can't see questions until they are answered I'm just curious if anyone is even bothering to submit questions any more. Or, is this just more mushroom treatment from EA?

Yes, questions are still being asked and passed through, last one posted was 13th Jan.
Magdalene nudged me and I contacted Cal about the situation by email on 12th Jan.

Everything has to be "approved" and it has to be any question that does not "rock the boat" which equals epic failure and nothing of high interest or extreme concern answered...

EA and Stratics go hand n' hand...

All the questions the Devs do "allow" to be answers are completely worthless eye candy or common sense questions...

I've said before, but maybe some don't believe me. Every question is passed through except for the very simple ones which a knowledgable player can answer. Those are moved to an appropriate forum and the poster notified of the move. None of these have so far complained about the answer they got to their question that way.

Several of the questions that have been answered a player could have handled. Several of the questions that have been 'answered' weren't actually answered, just BSed.

Recently, the only Dev to bother answering player queries has been Logrus.

Indeed. I've said for a long time the Ask the Dev's forum was a joke. The DEV's don't want to say anything.... course some of them try and others shut them up as witnessed in the video. Speaks volumes without a word.

Only really had one Great Dev in the last 5 yrs that knew the game mechanics, coding & would speak to the player base & answer questions we had...... & he isn't there anymore . Occasionally he posts to get some positive good idea's for the old bosses to run with on what players like, but I think they ignore them like GM's do pages

Why not make a group that houses the Questions players can handle? Can be called "Player questions"? Then if devs want to chime in on a post then they can with out having to go through maybe 100's of E-mails? That will ensure that Questions that can be answered by players get answered.

That was the intent if the Player's Corner Forum.

Three work days time to realize the importance of what their eyes and ears of the forums red flagged them. Petra may need to turn the flag over and flog them with the Rule of Thumb attention getter end.

Friday morning was the worse being so closs to the next FoF posting. What better way to answer questions on what is hot or latest worries. A tool to leak out controled information on the future of UO as in house rumors, not written in stone. Ask and Answer didn't even come close to FoF.

Remember the first live dev answer session. First few questions brought forward was about "will there ever be an arrow and bolt dye tub?" Good one. As far as them getting in front of the camera. More then anything they are trying to sell UO to people that already pay. Last one was a strike / wiff and I wasn't sold.

How hard it is it to draw straws once a month. Loser's foot is nailed to the floor under a desk for the day. They gleem the boards and show face, having a voice in the forums. Answering questions that wont earn a spanking later. Stepping on Doom Sayers. Squeltching the flaming rumor machines that just fester with the player base. Has to have more weight for UOs future then one persons work out put for a day.

The only reason I came to forums was I had to raise my head from the game to get answers to WTF going on. More time spent away from the game (be it trying to be heard on forums or looking for answers) the more a player leans to realizing that $10 has better place. Like the beer fridge.
