Artifact from killing an ogre in Despise?

Hello. I guess some thing are really different these days.

I was killing ogre lords in despise, and a plain old ogre came by. Killed it and got a "Yeah!" over my speakers, and the word ARTIFACT in the middle of my screen.

Sure enough in my pack was "Katrina's Crook".

So what's up with that? Do any mobs in any dungeon drop artifacts now?

Thanks for that. Looks like this one is perhaps one of the better ones available on that list. Assuming macers still exist. :]

I have no idea what is a common melee build these days.

okies, at 100.5 i got 2 . Thanks
It's taken me a bit longer, I've only actually imbued a couple times

I unraveled that one a few mins before I made that post.

Just tried it twice, 20 mins ago, got ONE per. Besides the Last Patch, nothing else has changed exc skill =101.0
more skill, same forge, got less -> spells NURF?

WTF? What Else did they 'tweak' that'll be more FAIL?
Looks like they changed back the part w/ aids & revealing

Hence the '1-2 Relics' - there is a CHANCE of getting 2 Relics from an item, its not a given. Most likely you will just get one.

ok, thanks. is 2 the most you can get?
So is this item one of the 'borderline' things where you could get either - like certain bod rewards?
Since this skill was relatively new, I'd of hoped they would have built in Stability instead of more phoney baloney guessing games

2 or 3 I think, though I'm not sure. Its the same chance with all items that unravel into Relics though, whether crafted, arties or looted. I wouldn't say its a question of stability, just a nice surprise to get more Relics from an unravel than you were hoping for rather than banking on getting 2+ every time.

and here's Another Guessing Game.. Garg or not, which forge, skill level. The game will let you unravel to less than the maximum yeild. A small difference in skill, all else the same, someone else may get relic, you get trash.
I feel that's BS, and where it needs stability - maybe stability wasn't the right term
