Before I make a suggestion, let it be known that it was explained to me at length long ago (when I wanted to be able to do so) why the public isn't allowed to paint their own pictures on those empty canvases with paints and brushes.
and why there is no ART-Craft skill to learn. With that said, here is my suggestion:
When I go into a building like this and see empty canvases,
- - - - -
it makes me wonder why UO artists, programmers and developers don't use their artistry to create more interesting paintings for UO enjoyment.
Paintings from shipwrecks are the result of someone's creative artwork!
I'd like to see more!
Couldn't a program be done where a paint-brush targets and creates pictures on those blank canvases - random pictures - creations done by UO staff artists? A program somewhat like the Plant program? Pictures instead of plants. Brushes instead of seeds. Different sized/shaped canvases instead of pots with dirt.
The Players wouldn't know what to expect if there were enough variety of paintings to be had. And of course, after painting a thousand pictures and getting numerous duplicates, one might get ONE of the few random RARE MASTERPIECES.
FUN.
