ArenaNet: Currency Updates Incoming!

Rubi Bayer posted on the
Guild Wars 2 facebook page:
“Many of you have asked about the currencies you’re seeing on the buy page. The site will show the proper currencies beginning on 4/10. ~RB2″
What could this mean? Well, for the speculative, this will show what retailers will be charging for the game based on a particular currency. As it stands, the game will be more expensive when purchased with Euro given exchange rates, and NCSoft offered
this explanation to PCGamer last month explaining why the Collector’s Edition is €149.99 and £129.99 when $149.99 is closer to £95/€115:
Currency fluctuations, distribution costs, taxes and market conditions in addition to the cost of goods are all contributing factors when setting pricing. These vary dramatically between NA and EU and our pricing is competitive and adjusted accordingly.
Hopefully we will get some clarification as to how this effects other editions and more details on why once the pre-purchase date lands on our calenders.
