I had thought I survived the acount migration.Made the master acount, added my acounts, double checked the billing and all was good until this morning....when i recieved the end of subscription notice due to no billing info in the e-mail..you know when is this gonna end?it was awesome you all made the step by step post on the acount migration and master acount.i could also deal with the new tax thing(after taking 4 tries to get it right).but just when i thought it was a not so bad adventure i get this oh and double billed..in all the 13 years of playing going through changes and what not still love this game! still think uo has a awesome way to interact with other people around the world. made many awesome friends and guildmates..But STOP THE MADNESS ALLREADY!!! All i want to do is play this game.. NO DRAMA PLZ i now await 10 am eastern to place the dreaded call to the establishment to repair this situation that IMO was done very poorly and hope they can resolve this issue in a timely manner.. thx for letting me vent :gee: :gee: :gee: :gee: :gee: :gee: :gee:

Overtaxing - Double Taxing - Wrongful Taxing - Double Billing


Its a fiasco of epic proportions.

This should have been tested extensively before pushing live.

Whoever was in charge of this migration should have made a test site and added all the information for ALL of the customers to test it in a closed environment to find ALL the quirks and bugs BEFORE pushing this live.

Its proper programming ethics, plain and simple. You dont push something this critical live without testing it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Seriously its not like we are talking about a server merge or character migrations. This was customers RL personal and payment information. You just dont take these kinds of risks with information that critical.

I hope EA/Mythic or whoever was in charge of this migration learns this lesson well. It may have cost this company millions in lost revenues not to mention any legal action that may come of this mess.

You want them to what?!?!? Have a proper test using live customers? Are you out of your mind? Oh wait ... you're right. But shoulda, woulda, coulda 20-20 hindsight ain't gonna help now. <sigh>

I hope <snip> whoever was in charge of this migration gets relieved of their job. It may have cost this company millions in lost revenues not to mention any legal action that may come of this mess.
Fixed it for ya. EA has screwed up so many times over the years in so many things ... they'll never learn.

I got the same email for my accounts but when I go to the account page they are showing active with recurring billing setup.

Back in July, they "tested" it on a game that wasn't out yet - Star Wars: The Old Republic.

They even found problems back in July, problems that some Star Wars players are still having as of this week in regards to linking accounts or understanding the whole process. That didn't slow them down when they migrated the three Mythic MMOs in August.

I got the same thing with one of my accounts, but it didn't have the "_uo" in the back of the account name. Those are the ones that are truly linked to UO.

I have to agree. A FU of this proportion should be a sackable offence. Show whoever is responsible the door and get rid of them for gross incompetence!

Ditto here; just received my 2nd notice that there is no billing information and I updated last week for the 2nd time.

Can't wait to see how many charges are n my credit card.
