I remember not long ago, before stratics collapsed, that people were screaming for somthing to do. We wanted an event, we wanted an invasion, anything. I remember clearly many many many people involved in the thred of poeple (including myself) bored.

Now we have it, we have an invasion, a new tamable, hand ins for what?

Everyones still complaining. Its too hard, its too easy, the rewards are crap, the rewards are too 'expensive for points' they are too 'cheap for points' etc etc.

My god people, be happy! Its supposed to be FUN!

Though i still say bring back EM's heh.

I find it very hard to follow aswell. I have no idea why theres a rift in Moonglow, i dont know why we have town invaded by these Vanguard things. But its sure better then nothing

My only complaint is that more attention needs to be given to improving KR, but I also understand what's going on right now.

The Vanguards really weren't my thing, however the turn in has been great. The new armor started out overly weak for the point investment, but the upcoming changes to the set in Pub 53 will make it usable and the jewelry set can either work with it, or split them up for different suits as desired.

I didn't care for the shirts, but look forward to some of the deco items as well as simply having the chance to lower my item count in general.

I still wonder though... with all of the turn ins, the foreboding of war that is going to change the world... I wonder just exactly what the vision for UO and "a kingdom reborn" is.

Something big is in the works, and I think the turn in is the biggest hint that we have so far that the entire system of the game is going to go through a HUGE upheaval.

I just wonder what the outcome will be in terms of acceptance. Past attempts at massive game system changes in MMOGs have had... interesting results.

I think they are just dragging it on too long and personally i feel that they are milking it. How many months have passed since this started? This entire event could have been done in 4 weeks time and it could still be considered reasonable.

The way i see it, they will never be able to please everyone with an event so they should just get it over with and move on. Wash rinse repeat. When you drag it on this long you are asking for complaints.

Yes, i do agree with that too. Thats probably the main reason i feel they shouldnt have gotten rid of the EM system. They made more events, smaller yes, but more. They may have only lasted a few hours, (contributing to an ongoing storyline) but were able to be joined in by anyone, even if you had no idea of previous events.

Smaller/shorter events, but more of them. I agree.

The type of event going on these past few weeks has not been the sort where you can easily spend a lot of time on it. Once you have tamed your Dread Warhorse and gotten your vorpal sword, what else is there to do with Vanguards? The same goes for the alternate Moonglow reality. Once you had the items that was it.

In contrast to last year where you could get useful Alacrity scrolls by killing spawn. And the Candle of Love quest took quite a bit of time to complete. Even more if you needed to clear out shrines of spawn. Then there was Magincia where stuff was going on 24/7.

I'm sure that we will eventually reach a point where you will want to spend a lot of time doing the event. But nothing so far has compelled players to participate more than an hour or two.

and just me !! i don' gotta share cause i like paid for it and they owe me and what i gots wasn't that good anyway and
they ain't telling me whats next and that ain't fair cause i waited so long to start and then they like did 5 min's day one with NO REWARD !
and then had like problems and this didn't work and some one WAS cheating anfd they like fixed that though i wasn't cheating cause the game works like that and the monsters should be smarter not harder hitting any ways and all that work for sumtine i din't know why and geez! i paid for that so yeah ...

Don't Have the Christmas spirit that they don't give me their gifts cause i want to trade them mine and they say that the gifts doesn't mater its the thought that counts so why they think i wanna see someone else have the shiney cause like i been here all my life (since beta was the bestest) and the its the giving not the receiving thats beter and then everyone left there so there! see! NO ONE LIKES THAT ...and i don't want to get more of what they don't like cause i have too much stuffs for my lockdowns that they cheated me by giving low points so i'm like gonna throw it all away and quit or wait to see whats next ...

The answer to your question is yes. Affirmative. Positively absolutely yes. It's both sad and disgusting. It's not only in UO. It's all over the world.

Be happy with what you have. Because one day it could all be taken from you.

I miss the excitement of logging in just to check if there was a lantern lit at Brit castle (how Oceanians were forewarned of an event that day). Was sooooo exciting!
