As 11 players sat in Luna with 140 conjurers Garb. Yes a 11. One guy was spamming, number 12... 25 million for rare robe.

I asked are the robes all 12 of you wearing really rare.

I got 3 yes's and a bunch of LOLs.

As you attempt to make your gold in UO, for the merchants... A good part of the game is earning gold to supply you players. Know when to sell and when to buy.

Remember sell what is new quickly before the days flood the market.

I bought a huge totem for 7 million. It went agains my rule but thought it be cool. I bought it when SA was just out. A week later they were worth 300k. Sure I still get burned. It just reinforces the mercant rule. Sell what is new quickly and buy it back later.

Just an FYI for you new merchants.

lol i saw a few people spend +20 million on the 140 luck robe when it first came out. nowadays i see people trying to sell them for 10 million with no apparent takers. i think i'll buy a couple once they fall to a million or so.

i've been selling the harbinger robes for around 2 million a piece since introduction, and they're still selling within seconds of advertising when i acquire one even at this moment.

However, unlike totems, these robes will be available temporary hence event item, so yeah, prices will drop for these robes during the next few weeks, but after the event is over, then give it 6 months to 1 year the prices of these robes will have gone up again (the only thing I see it from preventing this/dent it is if a better robe for its place is introduced since then and made widely avaliable).

Think of conjurer's Trinket, after last years halloween event, you were lucky to sell one at 1.5 million, now I sell them like hot cakes in pacific at 6.5-7 million...

Thats a good example for a merchant too.
Buy when available and tuck a few away.

A good strategy.

These robes a fad, like all other new arties that come along. Remember the mempo craze?

140 luck is no big deal either..........I ran around trying to collect crystals like mad and realized...........this is nothing more than keeping up with the jones's......If it wasn't for imbuing, I'd still be sitting on more useless armor and outdated items. Lucking unraveling has helped me sort out that mess.

When this craze has come and gone, not having a robe wn't affect my game play at all.

When this event started I opened a small shop and dropped runes everywhere whilst remembering your vendoring advice.
I made more from one robe than all the gold i've collected from 99-09.

forget about the luck.

the mr 2 and 5 dci will means that these robes will always have value. if you can pick a few up on the cheap and stash them away you will be a very happy camper next fall.

The best deal for stashing.

Yellow crystals at 500k to 750k.

Sure it is. The 140 luck robe is the highest amount available from any robe introduced to date. The highest previously available was 95, so this is a pretty decent amount higher. Add in the MR 2 and 5 DCI and you've got a robe that is better for it's type than anything else in the game.

i agree with you conner. i sorta see the luck as a bonus and am not dissing it, just saying that the 2mr and 5 dci trumps it in importance.

but as a package it is probably the best all around desirable robe in game, better than the cloak of corruptions when there enhanced with the threads.
