Are my skill gains bugged?

I'm at 109 magery and my cap is 120, I've been flame striking stuff non stop with a -27 magery wand equipped for the past 3 hours and only gained 0.2 skill, that's only 2 gains. I have GM med, lots of mana regen, lower mana cost stuff on, so i'm casting flamestrikes very often.

Try a higher spell like eartquake.

Yep, you need to cast 8th circle spells now. It will still be slow, but only provo is that slow. Discord is twice as slow.
